NEW YORK - On the eve of their tickertape parade up the Canyon of Heroes, New York Knicks stars Jalen Brunson and Josh Hart are set to throw out Wednesday night's ceremonial first pitches at Yankee Stadium.

"I think it’s been awesome,'' Yankees manager Aaron Boone said of the Knicks' run to the NBA title, the franchise's first in 53 years.

"What a fun team to get behind, and what a story of that team and how it’s kind of come together over the last couple of years,'' said Boone, citing the Knicks' ample supply of grit and mental fortitude.

And the parade day on Thursday is "just going to be otherworldly,'' said Boone, adding that the 2025-26 Knicks "will be talked about for a long time'' for their historic postseason run.

Hart is a great nephew of the legendary, late Yankees catcher and coach Elston Howard, whose No. 32 is retired.

After Brunson and Hart, a pair of lefties - the Yanks' Carlos Rodon and the White Sox's Anthony Kay - will take the mound for tonight's game at the Stadium.
