Stan: “And since you let us use your stadium for our playoff game, consider this advice free of charge buddy!”
My wife signed up for some in-the-stadium contest during that playoff game and still gets Rams team notifications.

LMAO

Well played, Stan.

Back to football, keep hearing on talk shows that Bidwill is keeping Gannon. Why would any coach be kept after three losing seasons with this one worse than the other two??? IMO Gannon and has staff should all be gone on black Monday.
Bidwill will lose the fan base if he keeps Gannon.

Rumor churns a lot this time of year. Most on the board won’t like this one. Gannon stays but agrees to major changes in his staff and involvement. First Petzing and Rodgers are gone. Rallis stays but Gannon must be more actively involved with game planning with the defense including during the game itself. Several position coaches must go (2 are already leaving). This would be a major shakeup and it’s unclear if Gannon would agree. If he doesn’t agree, he goes as well. Since some of these coaches have longer contracts, Bidwill will be eating some money. Ossenfort stays. Owner ship believes the problems are mostly game planning and game management. They believe Gannon has been too passive during games. They feel much of the roster is sound, but ownership is open to multiple additions including a QB. It is unclear who’s advising Bidwill, but it’s believed he is consulting someone without a formal position. He is very concerned about fan attitude.
Here’s the problem with this.
Gannon is NEVER going to attract a top notch OC. We will get a worn out retread, another guy from a traditional losing team ( Cleveland) or another inexperienced candidate.

If you watched the Ram/ Seattle it’s easy to see a new head coach like Klint Kubiak would be a major step in the right direction.
But alas, we will go through yet another year of “ It’s all on me. We have to coach them up better.”

As an example, the Bears coming off yet another losing season fired there head coach and raided the best team in their division snatching Ben Johnson. We are in the exact same position.

Are you hearing any rumors about who the Cards are interested in at offensive coordinator if Gannon stays as head coach for 2026?

I think it’s actually good that Bidwill is punishing Jonathan Gannon for his losing by making him continue to coach this miserable organization.
Gannon should WANT to be fired. This way a potential new team can say good coach but dealt a bad hand. A 4th Season of trash truck juice??? He'll ensure he'll never get a head coaching job in this league again.

Brother, I never said the Vikes weren’t miles ahead of us.

Let me refresh your memory… YOU SAID The Vikings with Kyler would be NFC FAVORITES. You really believe that? Should we make an avatar bet? assuming they even sign/want Kyler, if he ends up on the Vikes, are in they the NFC Favorite before the season… should we make that ludicrous bet?
I’d be all for it.

He has to sign their first but I would be in.

K1 on the Vikes would scare the living crap out of the league.

Or he could be made to stay here in hell.
The way this would work is we would tell Kyler to negotiate with a team of his choice and then a deal will be worked out.
The Vikings, Steelers, Saints and maybe a couple of more could bid against each other.
Kyler doesn’t want to be here. He will work with the Cardinals to get out of here.
Kyler is due a monster bonus i believe 3 days after the season ends. There won’t be any trades. Either the Cards will cut him or keep him. There isn’t another scenario.

It might be just about the only strategy left at this point.

We will see. It doesn’t seem like this off season is going to be boring.

It’s like 5 days into the new league year. March.
Thanks for clarifying this.

Does this give them enough time to get a deal together?

I don’t know if they are able negotiate during the dead period or not.

Lots of existing OCs are getting named. You’d have to promote them to Assistant HC as well as OC to make that work. NFL frowns on that tactic. One interesting name is Mike McDaniel if he’s fired by the Dolphins. That’s no sure thing if they’re smart. He was a big supporter of Tua and some think that will weigh against him. The Tua contract extension that McDaniel endorsed is a cap disaster. Other realistic names being tossed about include Davis Webb and Thomas Brown, Webb being the stronger choice.

No it’s the NFL year so it’s mid March as I understand it.

I know it’s hypocritical, but do you think we could convince Kubiak to leave Seattle to be our head coach.
It’s so similar to what the Bears did with Ben Johnson when they raided the Lions who had one of the best offenses that year.

Of course. Teams can start talking whenever they’re ready. Then the deal gets iced until it can be executed. Teams can’t talk to players, but it’s possible the Cards give Kyler permission to seek a trade.

Everyone knows what’s going on here; just right now teams are focused on what’s happening through the end of the year.

Well that is a much better scenario. I just know what happened with DHop and I pray this is not the same thing.

And their GM isn’t even good. Caleb Williams took a beating last year and all he did was throw money at the offensive line and hire Ben Johnson (who was going to pick whatever HC vacancy he wanted). It’s common sense stuff.

If JG and his entire staff aren’t gone on Black Monday there’s no hope for this current leadership regime.

Probably some one the special teams coach from Northern Illinois University. :-(
I hear my name is in the running. I've played high school ball and even spring practice as a DE at a Division II (I-A for wrestling!) school, so obviously I qualify.
