I really don’t see this organization becoming a perennial winner. We don’t operate like most other teams. We operate on a year to year budget…and we always stay under budget.

One year turn around? Don’t make me laugh. For that to happen we would have to push in all the chips.

Of course we can’t because we don’t have Home Depot money. I’m tired of buying that excuse. That was supposed to end with the new stadium.

If I were to suggest (example)we go out and sign an Ot, Breece Hall and Malik Willis it would be said, “We can’t afford that”. Yes we can but it would take future money and a leap of faith and belief in decisions made.

We also have to look at every player on this team that we can cut ties with. Even good friends like Budda Baker, James Connor and past mistakes. We won’t because they are the “face of the franchise”. Yes, a 3-14 franchise.

When you look at cap space today there are teams 50-60 million and more OVER the cap today. They are operating OVER the cap. Yes they will have to make some serious decisions come March.

I have no faith in MBMO “one year turn around”. I think they want that but that’s where it ends. Either because they can’t, they won’t or they don’t know how. We operate to “build” from year to year. The problem with that is only a small pct. of the player we draft will succeed and the ones that do succeed their contract is up and we are back to “ we can’t afford to sign them”.

The same goes for free agents. When you’re not in position to win why go out and sign a top notch free agent? The Rams have a very good offense. They have the best wr in football in Puka Nacua. What did they do? They sign Devonte Adams. We sign Zay Jones.

So Mr. Bidwill you can keep talking a good game(at least in your mind), but the only thing we can hope for is you catch lightning in a bottle. But the fans are not stupid..well in a way we are. We keep eating the crap you feed us.

We will see just how dedicated you are about a “One year turnaround”. I don’t believe you even know where to start.

Agree with you on most points. It seems we can never sign top notch FA every year. Instead we sign second and third tier FAs. It has to be money being the issue. Unless the mindset changes in the FO they will continue to be mediocre.

Because we are abut to enter the darkest timeline of Arthur Smith as HC, Kyler Murray being brought back as QB, and drafting Love at 3.

I believe it’s about culture and knowldge. With Dollar Bill his frugalness actively sabotaged the team in the interest of keeping a budget that gave him a profit supporting his standard of living. He was unlike other owners who were independently wealthy due to their success in separate businesses. They could afford to have their teams take a brief or even extended financial hit and lose money to put a winning team on the field. Winning became the exception for the Cards, not the rule

MB assured fans things would be different. He said he was committed to winning and maybe he was. The problem is NFL is now far more complex than it used to be. There’s a salary cap, more teams and more complex administrative structures. Those structures are so complex it takes an owner who is great at operating complex org charts. A businessperson, for example, who runs a successful independent business often has this skill. That’s not a description of MB. He has no history of successfully hiring this type manager. He also likely has delegation issues like his father did. So this type of critical, upper management framework has never been put in place. Guys like Graves (not his hire) and Keim lacked the skill to build an effective matrix. I think maybe Ossefort has it. He can’t do this overnight. He had to build an entire player personnel evaluation and scouting unit. They had to purge most of those involved with the previous culture. Then they had to convince people to come to AZ, a big career risk. I don’t think you can do this in 3 years. He may not be the man to do this but is there any reason to believe MB will hire someone better. Ossenfort IMO has has improved. I’d recommend staying the course instead of starting over yet again. I think Ossenfort can grow into the job.

My hope is MB looks at the Broncos (who hired Sean Payton) and were 5-12, fired their HC and hired SP, now they are 14-3 3 years later. Hoping that motivates him to hire a top tier HC because he let SP "slip through his fingers"...yeah, not gonna happen.

Why can’t we win?

You understand that the entire metropolitan area was built on ancient Indian burial grounds?

JTS
The Hardy Drive training facility is near some high-tension power lines.

For those curious about fact-checking Harry w/r/t to the scouting staff, you can check for yourself here: https://www.azcardinals.com/team/front-office-roster/

You have to scroll down forever but the first five scouts I checked below David Sears and the next guy (from the falcons) were all 10+ year Cardinals.
