With Grichuk signing the Dbacks are going to have some TOUGH choices.

In for sure:

C - Moreno (Right)
1B - Walker (Right(
2B - Marte (Switch)
SS - Perdomo (Left)
3B - Suarez (Right)
OF - Gurriel (Right), Thomas (Left), Carrol (Left) Grichuk (Right), Pederson (Left)

That's 10 locks plus back up catcher so 11 of 13 spots. 5 righties, 1 Switch, 4 lefties. It's really balanced

So only two of these guys

1B/3B Rivera (Right)
OF / 1B Smith (Left)
OF McCarthy (Left)
OF/3B Peterson (Left)
SS - Lawlar (Right)

My thoughts are any sort of Spring gives Lawlar the leg up. The Dbacks get a 1st round pick if he is up all year so they want him up.

He's an elite defender and Perdomo just isn't. Perdomo can play 2nd and 3rd though so he is almost the utility.

I believe he is a near lock unless he sucks this spring.

So Peterson is trash and out. Newman is redundant if you keep Lawlar. Rivera just doesn't have enough pop to play the corners.

That leaves Pavin and Jake.

Pavin had some big hits late and is okay at 1st. McCarthy is a great defender in the OF.

As I appreciate great defense I am going McCarthy and Lawlar before spring

I believe Alexander has earned a spot on the roster. He will probably start at AAA unfortunately.
