Cardinals really should be in on Richardson.

If any team is in a position to say "Screw it. Next year is boned anyway, let's roll the dice on a guy that's not 24 yet and has 3 years in the league already" it's the Cards.

Worst case, you burn a 4th round pick on a future backup and you draft high next year. Throw him out there and see what you have by game 17.
You want to trade a fourth for Anthony Richardson? I’ll have what he’s having!

Guy who has always questioned Kyler's heart and work ethic wanting to trade a pick for Anthony Richardson is the height of comedy.
It’s elite ball knowledge at the QB position that makes people think Richardson can be good.

Sign me up for a Richardson jersey if he comes here.

The march towards me not watching a single game next year continues.

You'll watch them, just like the rest of us. We all did something terrible in our past lives and have to pay the price in this one

when I was about 4 or 5...my mom noticed me chewing gum shortly after we got home from the store..she asked me where I got it...turns out my heathen little self had swiped a pack of wrigleys spearmint gum.
she snatches my earlobe and proceeds to march my screaming barefoot lil ass the entire two blocks to the store...through the rocks on my tender little feet.. we get to the store and she makes me give the gum back,...explain to the owner that Im a thieving piece of crap and not to be trusted...then makes me pay the Nickle or dime for the gum...then offer up a sincere believable apology and swear I would never do it again.

ya know what? over fifty years since then and I have kept that promise.. steal?? hell, I wont even BUY wrigleys spearmint gum again...to hell with that...the stuff is the devil

With our aging and underperforming S group, kinda trashy ILB group, and still questionable DL group, all led by Nick “shake em up” Rallis, we’ve got a chance to be really bad this year.

I mean really, really cover your eyes bad.

We really won't know next year's players for a while, so we really can't know how good/bad the cards will be until around October...but we are the cardinals, sooo...the NFL is a business, for this reason alone, the cards will win more games next season just to appease the fan base and put the hope back into the fans.

Again, feel free to reference my site moniker. I'll understand...

Whoever the Cards bring in it's going to be structured in a way that it's a one year deal.

The QB options are all bad. Just varying degrees. The only reason to change from JB at all is if MLF thinks he doesn't suit what he wants to do.

With all of the names floating around out there I would just stick with Jacoby. If he could be got cheap, I may like the Anthony Richardson idea but I wouldn't give up much. They have so many needs that next season is going to be another tough one IMO. If they win 5 games, which may be possible, that will be a "success" for the new regime.

If they overpay for Willis, bring in Jimmy G or Kirk Cousins or Aaron Rodgers or whoever is out there, it doesn't really fix the problem. They have already set the table to punt on 2026 and hope that they have the chance for another "generational" QB in 2027. Even a blind squirrel finds a nut once in a while, probably with a higher win rate than the Cards.

Is QB Murray out in Arizona?

Graziano: Kyler Murray has $36.8 million in fully guaranteed salary this year, and if he's on the Arizona roster on the third day of the league year, another $19.5 million in 2027 salary becomes fully guaranteed. So, the Cardinals will want to move on before that happens, whether that means a trade or a release. Odds favor a release because it's unlikely a team will offer Arizona anything significant in a trade if it has to pay Murray that much guaranteed money over the next two years.

So it's unclear what the Cardinals will do at QB. Given that Willis spent the past two years in Green Bay with Matt LaFleur, and Matt's brother Mike LaFleur is the new Cardinals head coach, it's fair to expect them to at least discuss Willis. They also have Jacoby Brissett under contract for one more year and could roll with him while they scout potential QB prospects in this year's draft or next year's class.

Fowler: Free agent Jimmy Garoppolo heading to Arizona is a strong option, too. The Cardinals have interest, and Mike LaFleur is considered very close with Garoppolo. "That's his guy," a league source said. LaFleur can create a clean path to restart his quarterback room by adding at least one veteran and drafting a QB. That makes Murray and Brissett expendable, and the feeling in Indy is that Murray wants out of Arizona.

Something to keep in mind with Garoppolo: He has one of the league's best QB2 jobs with the Rams, who would welcome him back. Joining Green Bay as a No. 2 is also an option.

I’d really struggle coming to terms with Jimmy G
