Let’s assume 2 things.
Brissett is nothing but our 2nd string.
Kyler is being moved.

So now what? I know there’s talk about trading up. Trading down. Praying one of the 3 top qb’s slip to us. But what if they don’t? Take a chance on a second round qb?

So play GM. What’s your options? Im ruling out trading up. We have too many holes. I don’t think a qb in the second round really helps us compete in 2026. Those first two picks will fill 2 holes
( theoretically).I think all this chatter about Lamar Jackson or Joe Burrow not real options.
I’m ruling out Russell Wilson, Arron Rodgers and Joe Flacco.

I desire a guy with some running ability.
Kenny Picket? Nah.
Mac Jones. Nope not giving up picks to the 49ers.
Zach Wilson? Nope.

How about Malik Willis? He’s got some time learning on the bench. Could Green Bay’s OC Alex Stenavich be a head coach candidate?

Is Monti the GM? Malik Willis (Barf)

If Monti is not the GM and he is in the draft: Ty Simpson

If Monti is not the GM and Simpson is not in the draft: Jacoby Brissett

The only way I want Brissett is a back up. Might he be adequate with a MUCH better surrounding cast Perhaps. But at best he’s a stop gap.
The problem I’m facing as a GM is giving up draft capital to move up for a less than can’t miss qb.

I’d sign Willis, a guard, a rb ( some good ones in FA) a speedy wr not named Zay Jones.
I’ll draft a RT. My new head coach and OC now has something to work with.

Bear with me…

If the plan is to keep the dead men walking:

Kyler to Miami for Tua + Dolphins 2027 1st. We’re taking Tua not because he’s the answer but for the 1st round pick the following year. It’s an NBA trade where you take on a bad contract for the asset. Tua and Jabroni battle it out next year, we’re bad, the dead ducks gets fired and we start a new era with a new QB having two 1st rd picks.

There are some logistical cap problems but at least you contributed a plan.

I thought this was crazy til I peaked Tua's contract. Still it's probably a 2 not a 1. I wouldn't do it

If Monti is not the GM and Simpson is not in the Draft and Michael loses his mind: Kyler Murray
Wait, he hasn't already?

Look at some of the moves he's made along the way

KK and KM extensions, luxury seating in the stadium, bringing in coaches from a team like the Browns and the list goes on and on

That's why I was saying Mac Jones until I found out he still had a year on his contract. Not giving up a high pick for him.

I had been saying Minnesota, Miami but when Penix went down again Atlanta became another obvious team that might look at Kyler. Atlanta has the 11th pick but it belongs to the Rams so they're not getting a QB in the draft so they're looking at the same list you posted so maybe we can get them to overpay for Kyler who knows

We should have the 5th pick maybe 4th. I think Ty Simpson will be there with Medoza and Moore being picked ahead of us if both come out. I would start Brissett, pick Simpson and have him learn for a period of time. However I also am assuming and hoping that we have new coaches. Additionally sign OL in free agency and also in the draft.

The only one that would slightly interest me is Flacco, and he's older than dirt.

Of course, if the entire Front office and coaching staff return, it doesn't matter.

If this is the route we take and Monti is still in charge then Bidwill better open the checkbook because we will need to sign:
Two quality o-lineman. Not 2 guys coming off injury. Not two guys that show potential. Two bonifide offensive linemen.
A running back. There are plenty of solid rb’s available. We cannot count on Connor returning to form and if he does then we will be very solid at the Rb position.
A speedy wr not named Zay Jones.

We cannot count then use the rest of the draft taking quality players without regard to position.

New GM, draft a QB, get us into position to get one next year or possibly Daniels if the new coach wants.

We are so screwed.

With the way everything was handled, even if the Cardinals wanted him back for 2026, K1 might try to shoot his way out of town.

K1 had the last laugh watching the team go 0-9 (after next week’s spanking) since naming Brisket the starter. Kyler has been scapegoated over and over by this organization and now it’s abundantly clear he was not the reason the team was losing games. In fact, he was the reason the team won any games at all! They can’t win without him! No way he returns to this clown show even if they beg, which they should.
