Willis would be a good choice but very expensive. All the eggs in one basket

I’ll grant he’s had limited playing time. Still his career QB rating is 98.9. His completion % is 68. His TD to interception rate is 2 to 1. He’s raw, but he’s a double threat QB. If he’ll sign for 2 years that’s better than the 4 year draft commitment. It all depends on how much he can get from the open market. If the money’s right, I’m in.

He's intriguing but I have no idea what he will cost.

his last 89 passes over 2 years in GB, 70 completions, 972 yards 6 TD 0 picks. 40 rushes 261 yards 3 TD's

Statistically takes too many sacks.

Only 3 starts and 89 pass attempts, but... over the last 2 years, Willis is 2-1 as a starter, completed 70-89 (78.7%) with 6 TDs and 0 INTs with a passer rating of 134.6, and QBRs of 77.3 and 93.5! He also has 42 rushing attempts for 261 yards and 3 TDs.

I should have finished the thread before posting just posted these same stats.

Pretty impressive

If neither HC or GM is fired, it is a lock they bring in another vet QB to compete with Brissett. That wouldn't prohibit them from also drafting a QB, but they are not going to roll forward into TC with just Brissett and a rookie IMO. It will look very similar to what the Giants did this year IMO.
Jameis would be awesome

he's very much like JB has been though. he can wing it no question but during the course of games he will make mistakes that get you beaten. Just throws way too many picks, always has, always will. JB throws far less picks but he takes big sacks and fumbles. Different types of mistakes but they will both get you beaten

He worked on that this season. His 6.38 rate would have placed 18th among NFL starters.

It's a big Kevin Kolb risk with even less PT than Kolb had but for the last 2 years of limited work he's been good when he did play.

I never liked his mechanics he has a weird throwing motion but he's been impressive of late

Bear with me…

If the plan is to keep the dead men walking:

Kyler to Miami for Tua + Dolphins 2027 1st. We’re taking Tua not because he’s the answer but for the 1st round pick the following year. It’s an NBA trade where you take on a bad contract for the asset. Tua and Jacoby battle it out next year, we’re bad, the dead ducks gets fired and we start a new era with a new QB having two 1st rd picks.

I can't imagine any team giving up a 1st for Kyler, especially with Kyler's outrageous contract.

For the sake of my running bet, I sure hope not. But there's really no chance we get a 1st for him. We'll be lucky to get a day 2 pick even if we pay his salary.

I don’t know bro. Lots of Stan’s on here that have stated that all the other GMs in the league would be chomping at the bit to have Kyler. Based on them and how they say everybody in the league, but the Cardinals know what Kyler is and about we should get something Good for him, especially since his salary is gonna be cheap as hell with the Cardinals paying a big portion. Especially for a quarterback, all pro caliber. Just ask them. All pro in the making in year 8.

They’re going to go with some “culture” or “leader of men” buzzword propaganda quarterback. So probably some veteran with a way distant past Pro Bowl resume to both sloppily sell the 2026 dumpster fire to dumb fans and also throw Kyler under the bus.

So I guess Cousins or Russ. Maybe Tua or Flacco. There’s definitely people in the organization that think there’s something here if we run out rich man’s Brissett.

Cousins would make sense but he’s under contract with Atlanta.

EDIT: Russ would be hilarious because he’d know EXACTLY how to manage Michael while offering zero chance at success.

Vaguely similar in vibes to Brissett's first couple games starting in AZ. Difference being, GB got to put him back on the shelf before teams adjusted. We did not. Im not saying Willis can't be a good prospect, I'm saying his history shows he likely isn't, and using the data set he's built solely in GB is fools gold.

Oh please no

Anyone hired who would think Murray can be resurrected should never have been hired in the first place. However that said, I can see Bidwill buying into that philosophy so he doesn't have to eat Murray's contract.

So I saw a guy propose this for the Cardinals, assuming Gannon keeps his job. Offer the Giants a second round pick for Jaxon Dart and hire Brian Daboll as OC. then draft Spencer Fano of Utah with your first round pick. On defense he suggested Gannon take over the play calling duties. Not sure what happens to Rallis, maybe he stays and keeps the title just not the play calling. Daboll seems to me to be one of those guys better suited as a coordinator and not a head coach. And as much as I dislike it, I just have this gut feeling Gannon is getting another year.
