Thats what I heard. I'll get it. Thanks Brian.
Just finished the book. Its totally different then the movie. Loved both, movie and book!
I really like this series so far. I'm on Book 3 - The Game.
It's a fun book - Victor is human with flaws and limitations, but an excellent assassin.
I highly recommend them:
Just finished The Killer Angels by Michael Shaara.
Nice. Read that in high school.
I want to find a book that is similar to Ready Player One. It doesn't have to be VR or pop culture based, but I just want a futuristic type book that is somewhat similar to RPO. Anyone know of one out there that they liked?
I haven't read RPO, but I really liked Lock In by John Scalzi and Artemis by Andy Weir.
Both are futuristic novels - mysteries set in futuristic worlds.
Snow Crash by Neal Stepenson
Haven't read it yet, but Ernest Cline did write another book after RPO. It's called Armada. Sounds a bit like a modern take on The Last Starfighter to me.
"The story follows a teenager who plays an online video game about defending against an alien invasion, only to find out that the game is a simulator to prepare him and people around the world for defending against an actual alien invasion."
Nice. I'll check it out.
Does sound like The Last Star Fighter though.
You read it?
About 1/3 of the way in. Pretty good! Wife loved it.
Does it have the The last starfighter vibe or just totally different?
