The Washington Nationals will look to secure the series sweep against the Diamondbacks in Arizona when the two teams meet for the finale on Sunday afternoon, but they will also do so with one tweak to the pitching staff after a pair of moves following Saturday's win.

The Nationals announced that right handed relief pitcher Cole Henry has been optioned to Triple A Rochester. He last appeared in Friday's blowout win where he tossed one strikeout and allowed two hits over a pair of innings. In 12 innings pitched this season, Henry owns a 6.00 ERA and 1.67 WHIP while tossing 13 strikeouts and allowing 14 hits and six walks. His first two career blown saves came this also season, first against the Philadelphia Phillies back on April 1 before recording another just 11 days later against the Milwaukee Brewers.

Henry was activated off the 15 day injured list on May 28 after being sidelined since mid-April due to a right rotator cuff strain.

With Henry demoted, the Nationals are expected to call up right handed reliever Riley Cornelio, marking his second career stint in the majors with hopes of more stable outings ahead for the 26 year old.

Cornelio appeared against the Chicago White Sox back on April 24 to make his MLB debut where he struggled, exiting the mound after allowing three runs, including two earned, and two hits while tossing four walks and one strikeout in just two innings pitched. Though he's been much more consistent in Rochester this season where he has tallied a 4.87 ERA and 1.35 WHIP in 44.1 innings, tossing 64 strikeouts to just 26 walks.

Across his four seasons in the minor league, Cornelio owns a 4.51 ERA.

The move comes as the Nationals' pitching staff has been on fire to shut down a Diamondbacks' squad also just above .500 this season. Washington has allowed just eight hits and two runs while tossing 12 combined strikeout over the last two games, including eight strikeouts between Foster Griffin and Zack Littell over their two starts. The bullpen has allowed just four hits as manager Blake Butera looks to keep it steady through the West Coast swing.

Washington will look to pick up its second sweep of the season, both on the road, with first pitch set for 3:15 PM on Sunday. Cade Cavalli is set to make the start in search of his fourth win of the season.
