In a game when our third round pick sat with a rib injury: our second round pick was lost for the season while our first round pick suffered an ever evolving high ankle injury.

All after our 4th round pick was sent to IR after the first day of Rookie OTAs…

You couldn’t make this up if you tried!

He gets hurt when live bullets are shooting fine. Keeping him in the game to get 2 minute work in a completely meaningless setting, after he already had like 70 yards of offense and a heavy workload in a completely meaningless game was just stupid.

Even the Raiders announcers were wondering why in the world he was still in the game at that point when he had already dazzled the way he had.
Yea, no way to spin this into anything else. Legitimately no point of playing starters in the pre-season.

No reason to play Love anymore in the preseason. Just hope he is ready for the Chargers season opening game to share plays with RB Tyler Allgeier.
There was zero reason to play him in the last game. Maybe a series. But the rest of that was stupid.

You guys crack me up. Love was begging to play in the HOF game, IMO because he wanted to get some actual knowledge of playing in the big league. The cards could have not played him at all until week 1 and this injury could have happened and then we'd all say......da gum, the cards are cursed, there goes our RB1. MLF should have put him in preseason, so he'd get some reps and get used to the speed of the NFL. Injuries happen, some in preseason some in games 1-17.
This whole forum is like a pendulum...one way it's all ok, which is rare and the other way, holy crap who can we blame for this......trust me, it's a much better life when you live in the middle and don't go too far right or left

To me he comps as a Reggie Bush, Marshal Faulk type of back, in terms of value, maybe higher than those because as a pure runner he's pretty elite. He's the kind of back that may not every day impress as a top level fantasy player but just makes defenses miserable.

He runs a bit like Bush but he's MUCH bigger and stronger and less likely to run out of bounds.

From the sounds of it if this was regular season- he would be in.

We obviously just want him to be 100% for the season. I think it's a good thing we got him some action. I'm not pressing the panic button yet

Love now has a high ankle sprain, per Adam Schefter of ESPN. The Cardinals hope he can return in four weeks, for a Week 1 game at the Chargers.

Earlier in the day, Cardinals coach Mike LaFleur declined to say whether the ankle injury was a low sprain or a high sprain. The high ankle sprain typically takes longer to heal.

On Saturday, the Cardinals worked out a trio of running backs — Montrell Stewart, Blake Watson, and Tre Stewart. They signed Stewart.

Well that’s an unfortunate update if it’s truly a high ankle sprain. Thankfully he has almost a month to recover
