Luke Weaver is going to have a follow-up scan next week to see if anything’s been healing after given time to rest. No throwing yet for the pitcher.

Taijuan Walker still has a little bit of forearm inflammation. He has not resumed any throwing yet as the team waits for it to go down.

Luke Weaver had a follow up MRI that showed improvement. Nothing announced as to when he could begin a throwing program.

I would just keep Weaver and Walker out for the rest of the year so they can come back 100% healthy next season .

Wonder if they will see if he can throw in September in a real game?

It would suck if he came back, threw a few pitches and re-injured himself. Just keep him out until next year. It's not like he is the missing piece to a playoff run, chances are he will need a few starts to get to full strength, so why risk it?
