2001 alone had a lot of great films:

Fellowship
Memento
Royal Tenenbaums
Black Hawk Down
Moulin Rouge!
Ocean's Eleven
Devil's Backbone
Monsters, Inc.

Which of those was disappointing?

Momento was awesome, the rest average IMO.

Requiem for a Dream. It haunts me.

Awesome movie, love the production/directing.

Jay and Silent Bob strike back is likely in my top 5, loved it. Clerks 2 might be up there too. Id have to go through a list to figure it out.

300 was awesome but a one time watch.

Kick ass was really good.

5. Lord of the Rings - Two Towers 8.7

Next in line City of God, Memento, Dark Knight Rises

I find the rankings to be very accurate in general.

I can't tell if this list allows for the year 2000 or if they have to come after 2000, because there were a lot of great movies in 2000. If it does include that year, can't believe no one's mentioned O Brother, Where Art Though yet. Even if you didnt' follow it, the movie has a visceral hypnotic appeal with its over-saturated colors and stingy discipline to linguistic quirks of the era.

I already confirmed 2000 is included.

Lars and the Real Girl was a good show. Gosling killed. Just like he did in Half Nelson and that movie he made with Steve Carell. Crazy Stupid Love?

Most annoying movie of the decade.

:mulli:

It's in my top 5 without a doubt.

Annoying ? How can a movie be annoying ? Don't understand. If you don't like it turn it off. Did the TV come alive and force you to watch it over and over, and wouldn't leave you alone...then I could understand annoying. If you hated it, then their you go, but I don't understand annoying.

So is "How to train your Dragon" and I could care less if it is a cartoon.

I will admit I am horrible at rating movies. If I like it, then I do, if I don't then I don't. I could care less if they are artsy, children, indy, or whatever. I don't understand the quirks people have and rules they have about movies.

Though you get 50 lashes with a wet noodle for you earlier comment. :D

Totally agree. Good movie.

I have NO IDEA what, " visceral hypnotic appeal with its over-saturated colors and stingy discipline to linguistic quirks of the era" means, but the movie was good.

It's annoying because I'm constantly being berated for not liking it. I've sort of embraced being the villain when it comes to TRT.

Except it's not the movie's fault that you're berated for not liking it. It's your awesome-movie-loving friends that are annoying.

It means the cinematography was transcendent and the dialog was primarily free of anachronisms. You felt like you were in Depression-era Mississippi, and not just watching a movie about it.

Can't see the love for Social Network. But Kong is excellent.

As was No End in Sight about Iraq.

Sorry for P&R.

I consider them all a part of Wes Anderson's plot to make me feel stupid because I didn't get the joke.
