disagree.
we have good depth...and lots of young guys who can still get better.
unfortunate? absolutely.
season wrecker?? Hell naw...
because the worst case scenario is that Rallis has to dial up a blitz for passing situations...and that served us just fine the past couple years....and we have better dogs in the trenches this year to make them more effective.
injuries suck. They really suck for young guys trying to adapt to the pro game. But injuries in the secondary....well, for this squad...are not a thrreat...if we had to pick a unit to beat up on it would be the defensive backfield.
We're talking about potentially 5 or 6 of our top CB's being hurt.
Can't just throw a bunch of scrubs in there and think it won't hurt the defense. It's wishful thinking to think otherwise.

of course it hurts the defense. But a decent staff will adjust the scheme to limit the damage and help out the DB's...you do that with pressure.
it does increase your risk of getting burned. But if you are down to your sixth string DB's and do not increase pressure...any guy worthy of the "starter" title in the NFL is going to pick your defense to pieces all day long.
But "hurting" the defense is a far cry from being a "season killer"

I mean, it’s still not good losing two of your corners for an unspecified amount of time, but it beats losing three
Well on a positive note, I was surprised how well Burke and Clarke played. Especially Burke - I actually think he might be better than Melton already.

ehhh... Outside of a couple hold penalties Melton wasn't playing bad.
