The Niners were so decimated at WR to begin the season they had to go out and spend assets to bring in Sky freaking Moore and then signed Marquis Valdes-Scantling right before the season. Not to mention they just picked up Kendrick Bourne off the street last week.
Ehhh they still had two quality NFL WR starters to begin the season in Jennings and Pearsall…. Not really sure you can equate the two as equal. That’s not completely decimated losing your top five in depth from top to bottom like our CB room.

melton was seen in street clothes wearing a brace during the game - no note of players coming up to him offering condolences vibes or anything like that

garrett did not return but it was late in the game

Jenning is still recovering from a calf injury and not 100%. They also lost their starting TE and QB. I don't see them waving any white flags.

They will run 3 S a lot more and ADG will also likely see a snap increase.

Free agents that could make sense :

Samuel - had him in for a visit and best available (supposedly) not sure how good he is and incoming off injury

Bradberry - familiarity with the system, not sure how good he is

Gillmore - old but has been productive

Other teams PS options - Eli Apple (niners) ,Eli Ricks(Eagles but recently released) Kalen King ( Falcons) , Dane Jackson(Bills) and Damon Arnette (Texans).

I’m sure there are folks that would love to see Darren Hall get a shot as well. Seems to make plays when he’s on the field so maybe something there.

I wouldn’t say over. The real key is can the pass rush be what I thought it would be? If it can produce enough pressure they can take most of the strain off the CBs. Plus some help will be there to be added if they’re really convinced this is a playoff team. SF should be a great test for the rush. Let’s hope the Cards have been holding back. Otherwise this will be a disappointing season.
