The Liverfool game showed the good, bad, and ugly of Eddie Howe. Good? Stunned everyone including Liverpool, and appeared to be putting them to the sword. Scored near halftime and it was great. The bad? Watch anytime Newcastle take the lead. They don't try to go finish the other team. It's almost like everyone from Howe down scream "Oh gods, don't hurt us, don't hurt us!" in fear of retribution. Well, guess what. Liverfool hurt them. Howe and Newcastle took their foot off the gas, and got what they deserved. As for the ugly, with his team sucking like crazy and without a single shot on target to that time, Howe stuck with his team and didn't make a sub until after the 70th minute. 'Cause yeah, Eddie, it was totally working smh

If Newcastle didn't play hard ball with Isak, they'd likely have Ekitike at this point...ooooooooof.

El wrongo. If Isak hadn't been a bitch and made it much harder, things would have been better all around for himself and Newcastle. ******* effed even himself in the A.

Boy, Eddie Howe sure set out to get his team's ass kicked today, and by gum, his plan is working like gangbusters.

Seriously. Down 2-0 aggregate and you come out in a back five and afraid of even stepping near an opposing player. You deserve a proper hiding, and Eddie Howe has made sure his team is getting one.

Yeah, Howe out. The rot has set in. You can quote all the excuses in the world, but there is zero excuse for collapsing like a paper chili pot the moment you take the lead. It is endemic and no amount of injuries or tired legs can excuse it. And if you want to say the players don't have the confidence, then it's even worse for Howe because it is his job to make sure they do have it.

Howe out.

Newcastle get Barca in the next CL. That's going to be tough. Winning the CL is one of only two ways they're getting into Europe next year, though, 'cause it ain't happening in the league.

wuss soccer. This team plays wuss soccer. The moment they take a lead, it's a guaranteed loss. The moment they take a lead, they fall back, park the bus, and play scared.

freaking Newcastle had City by the throats. There was only one winner. After they took the lead, the only--the freaking ONLY--tactic was to keep the pressure on. Nope. They fell back, parked the bus, played wuss soccer, and got the fudge beaten out of them.

Deserved loss. No fight in the team once they surrendered the lead. freaking shameful.

Starting Will Osula in the CL against Barca when your big money duo of Woltemade and Wissa can only make the bench is an incredibly damning verdict on Newcastle's transfer business. I cannot freaking believe it. Unreal! I get Woltemade's struggles--I doubt they'll be ironed out until the offseason--but Wissa? WTF?

Also, Howe bears a huge amount of blame here, as he is a major curating force in recruitment.

Well, that escalated quickly.

Gritty first half that should have been all even. Unfortunately, while Newcastle came to take it to Barca, their defense didn't get the memo.

Yeah, Howe needs gone. Lost the double to Sunderland--that is bad enough. Dropped more points from winning positions than any other team in the league. The moment this team gets a league they cringe like little ******* and beg teams not to hurt them. Happened again today. By the end of the first half it was all Sunderpuke. Just freaking disgusting. And this was a double must win, both for the derby and to have any chance of getting into Europe.

I swear to the gods, I will not suffer Howe's toxic positivity this week. He needs to put his foot up his team's ass this week. Continued rah rah you guys are good is not getting it done. One positive word and I fly to Newcastle to off him myself. He'll probably compliment me on my form as he's dying, though :D

And that's Howe sacked at season's end. All that bitching about no training time being the excuse. This is the pathetic effort 3 weeks of training nets you? Bah.

Great! Now that there's no chance for Europe, and the pressure's off, Howe can motivate his team. Too little, too late, pal. Unfortunately, it sounds like PIF is buying into another season. I don't know how he's going to coach differently.
