JFC, what a shambolic game. Did their damndest to lose it at times. Way to totally wear the team out, give me heart attack after heart attack, and take it to the very, very end before progressing. Howe certainly didn't have the team ready to play. He better be on his knees kissing Dubravka's ass tonight.

On a more realistic note, I'm not looking forward to seeing our midfield go toe to toe with theirs. Yikes!

Looked really shaky and lacking confidence, with a rather poor attempt to press early on. Defense was definitely out of sorts. After nicking that goal against the run of play, the press got way better and the overall effort was better.

Still not totally convinced with the defense, but hoping normal service has been resumed here at the half.

Really lousy for most of the second half, and Burn was exposed time and again (as per usual), but hard to complain about a 3-0 win. Livramento with a silly little goal to seal all 3 points and net his first Newcastle goal. Gods, does Howe need to do 1,000 times better preparing the team for these games, though. Looked a shambles for large stretches and would have been slaughtered by a Man City or an...well, an Arsenal. Thankfully we had Wolves instead.

Per Sirius Radio: Dan Burn is built like a refridgerator, local guy, favorite among supporters, has some trouble against quicker players. Tends to slow things down.

He's a decent player on his day and a homegrown talent. Have to have those on your team to satisfy squad rules. He's not someone you want starting to get into the CL or o challenge for the title, though.
