The second leg of the Champions League quarter-finals kicks off in about 90 minutes. Atletico Madrid will look to defend their 2-0 first leg lead over Barcelona, while Liverpool also face a two-goal hill they will have to climb if they are to beat Paris Saint-Germain and make it to the final four.

Unfortunately both of tonights ties seem like the least exciting of the four quarter-final second legs. Tomorrow Arsenal will look to right the ship and defend their one-goal lead over Sporting CP, while Bayern Munich have a 2-1 lead they will defend against Real Madrid. If I had to pick one Champions League game to watch tonight, I think it would have to be Atleti vs Barca. Diego Simeone’s brand of shithousing feels like it could cause some sparks, and Barcelona definitely have it in their locker to create some drama. I can’t see Liverpool landing a glove on PSG.

But I won’t be watching the Champions League at all. I’m watching the only game that matters. Southampton FC vs Blackburn. Will Saints make it 18 games unbeaten and extend their winning run to seven games? Will Portsmouth do them a favor and take some points off Ipswich? The Championship is the only football that matters tonight.
