Usually it’s impossible to find any news worth covering in the Daily Bee during the international break, but not this week! I’d personally like to thank the Borussia Dortmund front office for making sure there’s plenty to talk about. They have been very busy, and it’s only Tuesday. Maybe they can also queue up some more drama for Thursday, to make my life easier?

BVB News

  • Borussia Dortmund have reached an agreement with Nico Schlotterbeck to extend his contract until 2031.
  • Felix Nmecha picked up a knock in Dortmund’s comeback win against Hamburg. It has now been confirmed that he suffered a lateral collateral ligament injury and will be out for a few weeks.
  • As the dust settles on Sebastian Kehl’s departure and Nils-Ole Book’s appointment as BVB’s new Sporting Director, there is still plenty we don’t know. However, there has been some reports that help explain why Kehl is out.
  • I’m pretty excited about Book, but if you are unfamiliar with his game, Rune Gjerulff at Bulinews.com wrote a good profile on the man charged with building a squad that can compete for the Bundesliga title.
