I never compared it to the NFL. I compared it to my own abilities and Connor is doing the same. He is a high paid elite athlete and I would rather the coaches, upper management and Connon determine if he is done. We can discuss it amoung ourselves but why does it always have to be black and white (he's cooked or he's not). Let the season start to unfold. As a player, he's probably lost a step. As a leader, he's probably gained knowledge and more leadership. This team needs that.

I'll take the positive spin on it until I need to pivot. You can do what you want.

The sheer amount of injuries we had at the position and the peanuts he is now making, you might as well keep him. That 53rd roster spot only sees the field in case of injury anyway. Unless he wants to leave, of course.

So one good thing from last night was guys showed they belonged.Bisontis looked good,not saying he can start right away and be great but he looked like he belongs in the NFL. He played tackle and both guard spots in college that was one of the things scouts liked he's athletic and versatile. He's played both guard spots in camp and last night at RG he looked like if we had to play him, we could.

Beck looked much better than I expected, he looked like he knew what to do and where to go with the ball and his arm looked like an NFL arm, maybe his claim it's as strong as ever post surgery is true. Doesn't mean he should start but he looked good.

Jayden Williams playing LT looked like a guy who belongs. I know it's preseason but he didn't look totally overmatched.

Virgil had a big drop but he looked ok, Collinsworth for what it worth seemed to suggest the coaching staff really likes him.

Sharar I would say didn't look good he was in a bunch in the second half and just didn't look big enough seemed to have trouble getting off blocks.

We of course didn't see Love but I am confident in him. ANd Proctor is out for the year

Ok, I make a lot of sarcastic comments and jokes, but, I'm truly asking, what wisdom is there outside of conventional wisdom in this scenario? I mean I get there are different levels of wisdom depending on the particular situations in life, like quantum physics, but what I am I missing here?

the player access the fans had in Flag was just unreal too.... mikey straight up stripped away the best connection to the community when he moved camp to Tempe.

It’s clear that this staff is focused on creating advantageous matchups/positions for Jeremiyah Love. So many motions with him, both into and out of the backfield.

Takeaways from #AZCardinals QB Coach Matt Schaub:

- Thought Carson Beck has done a really good job operating last week. Says experience playing at a high level stood out during the game. “Lights aren’t too bright for him.”

- says walk-throughs have been invaluable for QB’s to see different coverages

- “let’s build off what happened last week” when asked where Carson can take the next step.

- why he went into coaching: “I’m a football guy.” said something kept tugging to bring him back. Says he couldn’t pass up opportunity to work with LaFleur given the coaching tree.
