i put like 87 "meaningless" disclaimers in my post - i'm just saying it takes more than skill to throw the perfect pass - beck is showing confidenceI am glad we picked him but the hype machine has gone vertical.
I wasn't talking about you sorry, I was talking about my social media feed is nothing but those articles its probably just because I was clicking on them. It does seem though as tons of people are piling into this convo.i put like 87 "meaningless" disclaimers in my post - i'm just saying it takes more than skill to throw the perfect pass - beck is showing confidence
for real - on my timeline i see people demanding beck gets the start - one hall of fame game lol and they're putting beck's face on brady's bodyI wasn't talking about you sorry, I was talking about my social media feed is nothing but those articles its probably just because I was clicking on them. but I love the attention!for real - on my timeline i see people demanding beck gets the start - one hall of fame game lol and they're putting beck's face on brady's body
we gotta remember one thing.for real - on my timeline i see people demanding beck gets the start - one hall of fame game lol and they're putting beck's face on brady's body
His receivers will break a little crisper, his OL will block a little better, his RBs will hit the holes faster, etc.we gotta remember one thing.
from a talent perspective, that HoF game was maybe..maybe,..one or two microsmidgens higher than the last college game Beck played in five months ago.
Just a teeny weeny bit....
So, he absolutely should look like he belongs....
if he gets into some first half action over the next couple pre season games that talent level will jump. The DB's will close a little faster...the pass rushers will be coming a bit quicker....
we need to see him be equally calm and in control when that happens.
Baby steps
thats all true too...but will have less effect on his danger sense in the pocketHis receivers will break a little crisper, his OL will block a little better, his RBs will hit the holes faster, etc.
Dan Marino ... 17 years, 87 total rushing yards. loli was half joking when i said i wanted to lead the league in least yards rushing by qbs
then i looked up matt schaub's rushing stats - who lafleur personally hired as his quarterbacks coach - dude had 353 yards TOTAL rushing yards in his 16 year career - how is that even possible
2 time probowler who never left the pocket - also only lasted 10 years as a starter
and took 270 sacks - not even counting knock downsDan Marino ... 17 years, 87 total rushing yards. lol

I forgot who the analyst was some years back, but the question was which QBs were the most mobile of all-time. Shockingly he said Dan freaking Marino? Again, wish I can remember the guy because he was a guy whose words one would respect and why I remember him saying it. The point is his perspective saw the QB in the NFL as being primarily a passer and emphatically said Mario could move in the pocket just enough to set up his passes with great form. I call that pocket presence but at this level there are people who put the most subtle things at a much higher level. Still would like to see the forty yard dash with such 'mobile' QBs as Marino, Aikman or Lomax- but this would have to take place during the day so the sundial could work.Dan Marino ... 17 years, 87 total rushing yards. lol
It's like we never learn.I am glad we picked him but the hype is getting a tad thick for this early in my opinion. Making a QB controversy out of all this? That's quite the accomplishment.
Like any good player, he fell forward...apparently a lot of times...LOLi was half joking when i said i wanted to lead the league in least yards rushing by qbs

You gotta remember, this was back in the day when a linebacker might accidentally stick a finger in your eye when tackled...I forgot who the analyst was some years back, but the question was which QBs were the most mobile of all-time. Good post - we are way overdue for some luck with a player like Beck. I bet he is threatening minshew and Jacobi more than you thinki know brissett is starting and the backup is minshew - i know the hof game matters even less than preseason games and i know the red and white practice means less than that - it's a meet and greet for fans
but like everyone else i'm bored scrolling twitter looking for football crack and there's the local pundits posting from practice
idk if rallis was pissed off or if brissett and minshew had simultaneous bad days but by all accounts our pass game was ass crack
then towards the end carson beck comes in with the 2s - that's when all the fun begins - meaningless as hell but exuding confidence

i was the hippie calling bs on beck not being nervous - i'm not no more - whether it's a national game or a 2 minute display infront of his new fanbase carson beck has delivered
confidence is king - we're debating cam newton/hall of fame in the other thread - one of the best i ever seen but after he lost his confidence forgetaboutit - same with kyler murray
beck isn't breathing down the neck of minshew and brissett (yet) but he has shown he can make the throws - arm strength is not a question for yours truly - he has shown leadership qualities - first in the building last one out - got the paris seal of approval
most of all he's shown a ish ton of confidence - starting to think it's just what he does
