One of the most decorated female track and field athletes in Washington Huskies history has signed a deal to go pro.
Former Huskies middle distance runner Chloe Foerster signed with Nike Swoosh TC on Thursday, the track giant's middle distance-focused pro club. Swoosh TC has branches in Utah, Oregon, and Arizona, with Foerster reportedly joining former Northern Arizona track coach Mike Smith at the Flagstaff, Arizona location.
News of Foerster's deal came about an hour before her debut for the club at the USATF Outdoor Championships, where she was one of three former Huskies to compete in the preliminary rounds of the 1,500m. Foerster was the fastest of the trio, which also included Eleanor Fulton and recently graduated Mia Cochran (who represented Washington in the race), finishing 17th in 4:10.86, roughly four seconds away from qualifying for the final.
A two-time first team All-American, Foerster owns the second-fastest 1,500m time in Washington's history in 4:05.75, behind only a 4:00.23 effort from Sophie O'Sullivan at the Paris Olympics in 2024. (Since O'Sullivan was still a Washington athlete at the time of the Olympics, her time counts on the leaderboard even though it came in international competition.) She was part of NCAA records in the distance medley relay and 4x800m relay during her time on Montlake and won the 2024 Pac-12 1,500m championship and 2025 Big Ten Indoor 800m championship.
A native of Portland, Oregon, Foerster was also a three-time All-West Region Cross Country selection, four-time second-team All-American, and one-time All-America honorable mention during her time at Washington.
