I really hope this works, but I fear it will be taken as a publicity stunt by a bunch of millionaires.

To bring this full circle, what do you think Sarver would do if the Suns forfeit a game in protest? I'd like to think he would be OK with it. Not sure how AZ fans would take it as a whole.

I don’t think he’d have a choice but to be okay with it at this point.

and anyone who’s not a racist would agree. Which means there would be a lot of people on Phoenix who were pissed.

Like I posted in other forums, I wear the one Cards shirt I own, and I STILL get comments from people in AZ they quit watching the Cards because of Kaepernic and other NFL players kneeling. So there are some hard core folks out there.

Although the Suns didn't forfeit a game, Robert Sarver did stand up for the Latino community over a law that was considered discriminatory.

From CBS News May 5, 2010 / 10:38 AM / AP:

The Phoenix Suns will wear "Los Suns" on their jerseys in Game 2 of the Western Conference semifinals, owner Robert Sarver said, "to honor our Latino community and the diversity of our league, the state of Arizona, and our nation."

The decision to wear the jerseys on the Cinco de Mayo holiday stems from a law passed by the Arizona Legislature and signed by Gov. Jan Brewer that has drawn widespread criticism from Latino organizations and civil rights groups that say it could lead to racial profiling of Hispanics. President Barack Obama has called the law "misguided."

I hope they're a bit organized, you don't want to just protest without any actual goals behind it.

I support the protest and the canceled games, but you've hit the critical point: Protesting to achieve what? Are they going to stop playing until racism is eradicated? Until Trump leaves office? Until a few token bad apples are fired? Things are bad now, but in what specific way must they change to resolve the protest? Of course there is no answer to this question.

The new salary cap is being negotiated so the players should understand this.

If the CBA should dissolve the NBA would be a total mess.

Gambo echoes this sentiment.

It's hard to believe the players would leave everything on the table but who knows.

Both sides would lose a lot of money but if the collective bargaining agreement unravels it would be hard to put the pieces back together.

Easy to say as a white person not fearing for your life.

It happens to white people as well. You are lucky if you haven't experienced it.

I think that's why you see people of every color being involved in BLM protests.

IIRC, Lebron was one of those players who supported continuing the season and playoffs.

Lebron would probably benefit more than any other player if the CBA were tossed out the window. I'm not saying that's why he's so quick to call for this boycott but the repercussions of it won't effect him as much as others. I find it interesting that he's trying to lead this charge though when he's been silent or second to speak up in past instances.
