Can any of you Laker fans seriously tell me why they wear Yellow jerseys at home??

Because they are awesome.

Other teams used to wear colors at home too, among them the Cavs, but I think the Lakers are the only ones now. The Lakers wear home Sunday whites, as well.

Part of the mystique.

I can't get with that much yellow. I'm glad the Pirates and Athletics both killed that noise.

The only thing I think of, when I see that much yellow, is Easter Dresses.

Ouch. I'm telling Black Bauer that you were mean to me on the Internets.

Yep, but acting like the series is over when you win one game isn't smart.

I'm not Abomb's keeper either...it's a pretty bold statement he made about the Clippers. But since he's a Laker fan, on the Laker thread, talking smack, in the Smack Shack forum, I'm not going to bust on him. He called his shot that the Suns won't beat the Clippers. 1 game doesn't prove him wrong.

If it were the Suns forum, on a Suns thread and he said it I'd probably disagree. That's for civilized, more intelligent discussion.

I dance in the flower petals of hypocrisy on this board...that's what the Smack Shack is all about.

No I was acting like we won a game.

The quote was the Suns won't beat the Clippers =)

But as far as this series goes...

It wouldn't suprise me in the slightest if the Clippers won it...even in 6 games. They are a team built for traditional playoff basketball.

And even if we get past the Clippers our odds of beat San Antonio are slender at best.

They're gold. :)

That's what's great about teams like the Lakers and Celtics, the tradition that goes back to the all-time greats like West, Chamberlain, Baylor, Goodrich, Abdul-Jabbar, Magic etc.

I watched Game 5 of the 1972 Finals the other day and man, I never realized how good Goodrich was. It was awesome to see him just busting his butt and playing as hard as his talent would allow him. Also, watching Jerry West shoot and score without the benefit of the three-point line. Wilt was ridiculously agile and great, even in this game, at age 35. Crazy stuff.
