Hope so. They need to develop some reps and chemistry. Plus having such a level of talent compensates for areas your GM didn't build a proper roster in (Defensive Length on the perimeter). It may take a few games but at the very least we should be more potent on both sides. Having that extra talent, also puts less pressure on Book to create, same for KD. This can then allow them to focus on defense.Based on how Booker sounds, it seems Beal will play Tuesday. He didn't mention KD by name but getting Beal back will be big. We should be able to stagger Beal and Book's minutes so one is on the court at all times.
Does anyone else get nervous he is jinxing it just by talking about it?xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media
The staggering does not seem to be working, it seems to me the team plays much better when both Book and KD are on the floor together, I feel like with just one of them we struggle to stay even with both we usually pull away.Based on how Booker sounds, it seems Beal will play Tuesday. I almost want a lineup that focuses on team basketball not getting it to a star with the way the double teams have messed us up this season.
Book and KD have different skill sets while Booker and Beal overlap a lot more. I think staggering them will be much more effective due to how they're both combo guards that are capable of filling it up from anywhere. It also has to do with roster construction as a whole. When KD sits who is our PF? The drop off is huge. When we sit Booker or Beal we can plug in Gordon, Allen, or even Goodwin and whichever is left on the court, be it Beal or Booker, can take on the primary ball handler role.
We'll see what happens but I think we'll see more success staggering their time than KD and Book.
We do play best when we have two of the stars on the court at the same time. Once beal is back, if he’s fully back, and if the three stay healthy - the staggering can ensure that there are two of them on the court at the same time FOR THE ENTIRE GAME with 12 of those minutes having all 3 of them on the court at once. I suspect those minutes would be to start the game, to start the second half and the last four minutes to close the game. The staggering does not seem to be working, it seems to me the team plays much better when both Book and KD are on the floor together, I feel like with just one of them we struggle to stay even with both we usually pull away.

Most surprising thing about that graph on the left is that Josh Okogie is taking quality shots. He just misses them all the time.xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media
It's obviously impressive that he is this efficient with as poor the quality of his looks are, but it is concerning that we haven't been able to get him some better looks.xc_hide_links_from_guests_guests_error_hide_media
