It's early, but the buildup for the season opener is coming.

I thought it would be nice to package some of the pertinent information into the game thread.

The Suns open their regular season at the Clippers on Wednesday, October 23rd. It's at the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California.

Then they play at the Lakers on Friday before returning home to play the Mavericks on Saturday. It will be the second night of back-to-back games. That's a tough turnaround.

When: Wednesday, October 23, 2024

Television: Suns Live, Arizona's Family 3TV / Arizona's Family Sports, ESPN

Radio: KMVP 98.7 / S: KSUN

Time: 7 PM Arizona time

I must have missed Damion Lee being questionable with a hamstring.

Okogie, also hamstring, is behind Allen and Lee.

Do ESPN/TNT LA games get blacked out in LA and only run on Bally’s or whatever cable network the Clippers/Laker games are usually carried on?

I didn't think national games get blacked out, but I don't anything about how it works in Los Angeles.

I think that’s right, just wasn’t sure Suns games in Phoenix on TNT/ESPN are simulcasted with the local TV feed, right?

I think so. Need to check because I like the local telecast better and watch it.

I could be thinking football and have it confused but I'm pretty sure they'll simulcast so long as the game is at 90%+ attendance, which is what most leagues call a sell out. If it doesn't reach that then there can be blackout issues but that won't be an issue for a game 1 and 2 of the season.

It's NBAtv that you gotta worry about, they use a local feed so it gets blacked out in that region.

KD and Book are slacking

I'd be fine with KD shooting 40% from 3 for the season. I wouldn't call that slacking. He has the opponents best defender on him for most of them and will likely create his own looks. I hope Book gets his % up and plays off the ball more. I think he needs a little longer to adjust to being off ball since he's been a primary creator almost all of his career.

Only Josh Okogie is reported OUT for the season opener.

Grayson Allen and Damion Lee are listed as PROBABLE.
