Fenerbahce forward Nigel Hayes-Davis has agreed to a fully guaranteed, one-year contract with the Phoenix Suns, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.

The 6-foot-8 power forward won the 2025 EuroLeague championship and was named EuroLeague Final Four MVP, as well as Turkish Cup champion and MVP with the Turkish club.

Hayes-Davis, 30, averaged 16.7 points and 5.3 rebounds while shooting 49.8% on 2-point field goals and 41% on 3-point field goals on 3.9 attempts per game during the 2024-25 EuroLeague season.

I saw his measurables but he doesn't look 6-8. I heard he also has a good wingspan too. He looks smaller and thinner than his reported stats. Interesting signing as he wasn't on anyone's radar.

There are videos about the Celtics interest a couple weeks ago, and his team said several NBA teams were interested in him.

I agree he doesn't really look 6'8 in the videos, but I think he probably is close, the issue is he can't jump so he looks smaller than he actually is.

He looks like he has short legs, a long torso, and a huge head. maybe its just the euro TV feed.

I watched some video. He isn't a high flyer or anything and many of this highlights came against guys shorter than him. He is 30 and just now getting a chance again. I don't expect much to be honest but I hope he is a find.

I will take a bet with you right now that he is better than Royce O'Neal if given the opportunity.

He is a better shooter, and has a more all around game.

I was about to compare him to a Royce O'Neale type player. The Suns needed help at power forward. Hopefully, it's a step in the right direction.

Better is relative depending how good you think O'Neil is. I never said O'Neil was an above the rim player nor did I think he could be a starter. I am speaking to what he appears to be in the video of his league play this past season.

I am watching various media type rave about this guy. Seems a bit over the top to me. He's a really hard worker, that will help the rookies. He is not a vet coasting to the end of his career, so there is that. This team will really need a work ethic.

Which aligns with the new Suns ethos.

I can't help but think of Sonny Weems in comparison to Nigel Hayes-Davis. He can't be worse. It has definitely helped keep my expectations in check.

I hope NHD can be productive here.

I'm hoping for a better comparison like Guerschon Yabusele.
