Suns Off Season Changes for 2025-26

The problem is they can't seem to be able to get rid of any of those guys. That says a lot about JJ's player evalutation when he gave that beefy contracts to Allen and RO. We now get stuck with them.

Anybody thinking there’s a starter available at 41 is likely delusional as an nba gm. Are there diamonds in the rough discovered every now and again? Of course. But thinking there’s a starter there? I know I certainly hope that was NOT the case with our front office.

I was looking at the Suns drafting potential starters down the road.

Yes, I think Adou Fiero and Kam Jones have that potential if they were there at #41.

we were something like 2-18 last year with Booker, sometimes Beal, but no KD. 2nd or 3rd worst in the league maybe not, but I can def see a bottom 5 finish overall.

Because the Suns couldn't plug the middle of their defense, they alternated between giving up layups and wide open threes.

At times, it was a freeway to the basket. It became disheartening to watch them. Opponents knew exactly how to win.

Now at least now the Suns have added some big men to their roster who should help fix their interior defense.

Watching isolation basketball and turnovers on offense was almost as bad.

It's hard to see how they are worse than last season, but who knows. It got to the point I didn't want to see Durant and Beal play anymore.

Oso played 4 years at Marquette. He isn't changing his jumper at 22 years old. He's played too long at this point to have hope he develops better mechanics.

Guys have developed a shot over the course of their career... however... that is one ugly shooting form. It's is about as bad as I've ever seen.

I get and agree with not wanting to see another game from KD or Beal in a Suns uniform but it’s incredibly easy to see how we’re not only going to be worse but possibly much worse than last year. We have two scoring threats on the entire team and neither of them are elite. Point Book has only been bad to awful for any offense we’ve seen him run in the past. Our size is both incredibly injury prone and/or very very raw rookies.

I think some of you guys are in for a rude awakening at what rebuilding looks like, especially around a some time All Star as your best player. There’s a lot of younger, live bodies on the team and that excites me about the future, but there will be massive growing pains with those guys before we see a lot of payoff.

I agree. Once the Beal situation is resolved it should open a lot of doors just being under the apron. I also don’t see any reason to trade some of these guys unless we get what we want out of it. Teams will be a little more desperate at the deadline and guys like RO and Allen will hopefully have more value then.

Literally no one thinks we aren't rebuilding. The vast majority are hoping for a more enjoyable product over improved record. Record is secondary this season. We need to establish a new culture after KD's "just hooping" nonsense led us to salary cap hell and an empty warchest.

Brian Gregory is really high on Nigel Hayes Davis, although he can't talk about him, I guess because he is not signed yet.

The expectations most have are vastly different than last year. This year winning more than 36 games and making the play in would be a positive. Last year winning 36 games when we were supposed to be competing for a championship wasn't even a bad joke, it was disgusting and I believe it made many fans question their allegiance to the Suns.

Don't forget that MLE can now be used in trades as exceptions of sorts. So while we may not be able to sign anyone outright, we might be able to pick someone up in same way. Of course we have no picks to sweeten the pot but Ishbia could sweeten deals with cash.
