i would keep the hell out of richards - if there's a center shortage now wait until the season starts - wait until the injuries start - then get top dollar
I am happy to hear we are keeping him. I think he is decent and he definitely provided some power around the rim at times. With Williams history, he might end up being a very valuable backup.

I don't know that we are keeping him. Getting him under contract was a no brainer. We will see their plans for him soon enough.

What do Ayton and Shanghai Sharks have to do with Nick Richards?
If Ayton is a free agent, some of the teams that might trade for a Richards might try and sign Ayton first. Either way, I think the Suns should keep him with Williams history.

With all this speculation about Richards, is there any status update on Plumlee? Is he officially on or off the roster?

Well that is just stupid. Allen and Beal were far superior. The level of hate for these guys is outrageous. Grayson was great under Frank - the hostility towards him for having a bit of an off year is totally unwarranted. I also don't understand the Beal hatred. It's like the fans feel like they are paying his contract or something. I would actually be all for keeping him if we hadn't traded for Green.

Cody Martin is a poor man's Okogie. There is no reason to miss him. If we can't find someone to replace that level of player we have very big problems.
Wouldn't call it hate from my part. Just felt we played with more heart and grit with Cody Martin on the floor towards the end of the season than those two guys.

Gambo doubts the Suns would want Chris Paul with the signing of Gillespie.

Both things can be true. The chemistry soured and KD made it worse.

It’s okay to admit you’re wrong every once in a while. I admitted it about the KD trade being a disaster.

But saying the chemistry was “great” and our ability to hold leads, yada yada in the obvious face of one the most disastrous playoff collapses ever punctuated by the absolute worst Game 7 performance ever to a huge underdog in in second round run and the ongoing Ayton/Crowder issues that continued is just a joke.

Also, if Booker can be so easily swayed by someone like KD, whatever culture there was before KD must have been on the thinnest of ice. You didn’t see that with GS. They got KD and then the only reason they ever lost was because of injuries. Why? Because their leaders are actually LEADERS, not the checked out little follower that your golden boy is.

The Warriors were arguably the best team in league history BEFORE they got Durant...

And we've now heard that part of the reason Durant didn't go back to Golden State is because he didn't like Steve Kerr.

He's a cancer.

And "goldenboy"?

I have leveled plenty of criticism at Booker and I think the smart think to do is trade him... but I will admit, that I don't despise him or that team simply because they lost a series.

More wings? If we keep Booker, Green and Beal, plus play Dunn starter minutes, do we have minutes to spare? Why are they not mentioning PG or PF? "Journalists". Bah.

Who would you rather have? Ayton or Richard's. Look at the Lakers. Can you imagine Ayton, Luka, and LeBron on the same team! LeBron would kill someone.

I would trade Richards and sign Plumlee as our third stringer. He and OSO. Hopefully we can regain a draft asset or two for Richards.

Then we see if we can get anything for punchyface.

If the goal is to shed salary you gotta do it now. Trading players without taking back money gets really difficult once everyone fills out their rosters.

I want draft picks from desperate teams - draft picks also help with the apronage - yes?

We are not getting better than a 2nd round pick for Richards, and if they can do it without taking back any salary, it would be for the better. With the apron tax his 5 million dollar contract hits us for like 30 million.

Boston traded Porzingis, lost Luke Kornet to FA (Spurs), and might lose Al Horford to the Warriors. I'd at least pick up the phone to see if they any interest in Richards.
