No KD = No Christmas.![]()
The Phoenix Suns aren't on the NBA's Christmas Day schedule this season: Sources
The Phoenix Suns have played on Christmas the past four seasons, but the NBA's Christmas schedule does not include them this year.sports.yahoo.com
No Relevance = No Christmas. I suspect had we brought back the same team from last season we'd still be free on Christmas. We matter less without him but with or without KD, we don't matter. No KD = No Christmas.

Actually you can be irrelevant and be on Christmas Day if you have a rookie that has a lot of buzz, etc.No Relevance = No Christmas. I suspect had we brought back the same team from last season we'd still be free on Christmas. We matter less without him but with or without KD, we don't matter.
Yeah, I actually enjoy Christmas more not having to worry about catching the game and just being with family!KD checked out in the 3rd quarter during his first Christmas day game here. That game vs the Mavericks sealed our fate with KD. I'd rather see no Christmas day game until the awful memory of that game has faded away more.
I'd consider that "relevant". I didn't just mean finals contender although I guess I wasn't all that clear. We don't matter - not to the networks, not to the media nor to the fans and it's not just because we don't have KD.Actually you can be irrelevant and be on Christmas Day if you have a rookie that has a lot of buzz, etc.
We could matter. We have three interesting rookies, and a Euroleague Finals MVP. There's some interesting story lines. If any of these guys flash, they could go viral. it's possible. However, having guys like KD, Lebron, Luka, etc, you will be on Christmas.I'd consider that "relevant". I didn't just mean finals contender although I guess I wasn't all that clear. It will change eventually, maybe even this season although that's a long shot. But right now, we're just not relevant. We're not in contention, we're not young and exciting, we're just another team on the schedule. Maybe Green will take a huge step, Williams will stay healthy and the team develops a strong defensive mentality but it will take something along those lines to make us relevant again.

Not after last season we wouldn't. They put teams expected to make the playoffs on Christmas, nobody would expect last years team to make the playoffs or be anything anyone wants to watch. No Relevance = No Christmas. Did you not notice how inferior our rookies looked to many other teams rookies in the Summer league? That means something, like it or not.We could matter. Dunn looked like A$$ in his first Summer League. So did Oso. Summer League is chaos at best. Not expecting them to take over the league, but I wouldn't sell them short based on Summer League.Did you not notice how inferior our rookies looked to many other teams rookies in the Summer league? Extremely minimal at best.Did you not notice how inferior our rookies looked to many other teams rookies in the Summer league? That means something, like it or not.
I don't like this deal, at all.
Suns receive - Tray Young, Onyeka Okogwu
Hawks receive - Jalen Green, Dillon Brooks, and Khamen Maluach

Trae Young to Phoenix? Diving Into Possible Trades
An insider suggested the All-Star point guard may become available in the future.www.si.com
The good news, Flex is the one pushing this deal.

They are making a case for alignment with what they have done this off season. Stick to the plan.Good grief. The fiddling with the roster is excruciating. Do it the right way. Draft well and develop your talent. These trades are like the 45 year old woman who keeps choosing cosmetic surgery over the gym.
Dunn showed the ability to shoot 3's at near 50% in summer league last year. Actually his performance was graded surprisingly good.Dunn looked like A$$ in his first Summer League. So did Oso. There’s zero argument for Trae Young having “emptier” stats than Jalen Green. Trae Young is a far superior player offensively and it’s not like Jalen Green has ever been known for his defense. PHNX is just trying to create summer content. This is so strange. Trae Young has perhaps the most empty stats in the entire league, moreso than Jalen Green, for sure.
