You make him out to be a deviant or something. It was meant more about his lackadaisical demeanor and how it rubbed off on everyone. It’s ok to disagree, it’s perfectly plausible that his laid back attitude didn’t affect the team, but imo it sure looked like it did. When you say “behavior” that implies something bad or untoward—it’s ok for him to be like that, it just isn’t conducive to winning basketball as was proven last year.
How so? He is a player with a history of having some rocky relationships with teams. You said deviant. Not me. Behavior is in reference to his social media, interviews and interactions with the team. When you say influence on and off the court it appeared that is what you were referencing.

When Beal is finally gone, the Suns will have TWO roster spots open. What are they doing with those? I keep hearing rumors of Malcolm Brogdon, if he hasn't landed somewhere by now.

Hasn’t collins always been seen as a “me first” guy? If so, not mentor material. Ironic that you push back against Paul who has a history of raising young players games as a mentor but want this guy for that role.
No. I push back on Paul because Ott and Gregory are saying this team wants to run. That's NOT CP3 anymore.

I heard we had interest in Brogden and Melton. But there were several teams after them.

I wouldn't be surprised if we used the other slot to try and sign somebody else who flashes in summer league whether on our team or another one.

I haven't followed Brogden recently. How has his play been? He is sort of the mold of pg I think would be good for this team if he defense is still good.

Well he has only played 24 and 39 games the last 2 years. I think he has some kind of chronic injury issue which is why I think Boston dumped him.

Last year his stats really weren't very good. His defense was not good, nor his 3 point shooting. I don't know, I think he would only be the 3rd point guard, so he would probably be ok in that role.

we were something like 2-18 last year with Booker, sometimes Beal, but no KD. 2nd or 3rd worst in the league maybe not, but I can def see a bottom 5 finish overall.
Yeah, but last years team was used to just standing around and letting Booker and KD ISO. When one wasn't around I don't really think they changed up.

I do think we will have much more scoring at the rim this year, and hopefully more deflections, better rebounding and rim protection.

Just saying I don't think this year's team is going to be very comparable to last year's - at least I hope not.

And maybe a defense that cares.

I see fans, mostly not on this forum, complaining that they don't like the Suns' evident plans, especially for point guard. That reaction is stupid, because the roster is in too much flux to judge. It's too much a work in progress, and most of that progress probably can't be made until Bradley Beal is bought out. If he'll even take a buyout. He might not. If it starts to become evident that he won't, perhaps then I'll start making judgments.
Sir, this is a message board.

Sigh… another MSU hire to the coaching staff, who also just happens to have some prior alleged sexual assault activity on his ledger to boot!

And yea… I know he was acquitted… by a jury in Michigan, where he’s an all-time hero for a state he won a national title for, despite there being video evidence of him dragging and carrying a half naked women who was running away from him, back to his hotel room.

Melton, Payne, Brogdon, Paul.

Any other candidates?

Also, Russell Westbrook is still out there at point guard if the Suns want to spice things up.

The player I'd really like to add is PF Precious Achiuwa.

If the Suns buyout Beal, I have their roster at 13 players. They don't have to add a 15th player, at least not right away.

Guards:

Devin Booker SG
Jalen Green SG
Grayson Allen SG
Collin Gillespie PGBradley Beal SG

Forwards:

Dillon Brooks SF
Oso Ighodoro PF
Rasheer Fleming PF
Royce O'Neale F
Ryan Dunn SF
Nigel Hayes-Davis PF

Centers:

Mark Williams C
Khaman Maluach C
Nick Richards C

Two-way contracts:

CJ Huntley F
Isaiah Livers F
Koby Brea G

Seeing Russ come in and have the opposite effect of KD would be amazing. Especially if he's paid the minimum to do so.

Say what you want about Russ his desire is unquestionable.

Good grief.

Here is how important it is for the Suns to get under the tax apron. Bobby Marks explains it.

I'm not sure if this will be the Suns starting lineup, but this gives a quick snapshot of the team and where they are.

The buyout of Bradley Beal is different from Milwaukee.

Suns have until August 31st to waive and stretch his contract.
