I loved Dunn as a rookie. Are we sure he's not going to take the next step this year? I hate it when we deal a player ready to burst, like that guy we sent to Dallas (Michael Finley), but that was maybe to get Nash back? [It was to get Kidd.] But yes, with Peat and Fleming, Dunn might be the odd man out. He needs minutes.
It's like gardening. Sometimes you have to pull perfectly good sprouts to give others room to develop. I just hope we can get some return for Dunn. I was a big fan of his to begin with. Honestly, I would be fine with the forwards we have and not do the Bridges deal.

IDK, I will be depressed if Peat, Maluach, and Fleming don't get regular minutes this season. Even 10-15 a game. Otherwise, unless Miles Bridges is a complete game changer and we are reeling off wins, I'm going to start to tune out. You have to give young guys some minutes so they can measure themselves, and start developing confidence they can play in the league. IDK, I listen to podcasts and they say the 240 minutes we have to allocate per game, and the guys like Booker, Green, Bridges, Brooks, Williams, Goodwin, Gillespie, Kennard, Oso, Highsmith, etc., are going to garner, it almost mathematically eliminates the young guys.
Sure but they should earn minutes they haven’t proven anything yet. We love the potential but they need to work to get good enough to take minutes from other. Then we are going to improve.

Exactly.

The competition will be great for the PF position. We have a starting quality PF fighting for a contract, and two young dynamic PF's in Fleming and Peate trying to take his job.

It would be nice to see Fleming step it up in summer league.

If Koa and Man finish summer league the way they started, they should definitely earn a real shot at early season minutes.

I thought Fleming played well the first game. Hopefully he gets back on track tonight.

Having watched most every game U of A played this year. There are things to love about Koa, as well as some things that concern me.
Despite having a nice mid range Jumper, his free throws were frustrating to watch. 65% isn't going to cut it for a physical player. he can draw fouls and even finish most of them. But he leaves a lot of points on the floor.
He can bang on the boards when he chooses to but Arizona did have 2 other dominant rebounders that made it easy to think he didn't have to. the thing I loved was he never shrank in big moments and in Big games.
Defensively is a little tricky, when Arizona would turn up the heat they all rotated very well as a team, he had good hands at stripping or poking the ball away after contact. he was not as always quick with his foot work, but sometimes he did, so the potential is there. personally I would of liked to see them take Henri Veesaar as I thought we could of used another Center that can play at both ends and rebounds well.
and BTW Burries was there best player this year, Bradley was the most important.

Here's a question for you guys. We did not draft Haliburton when he fell in the first round. Koa Peat, he fell and 29 other teams passed on him, but we got him. Is Peat our Haliburton?
