The anti-Ayton.
Yes, he does seem to have the right attitude. That's the bet with him, that his work ethic and pride will make him a star that his frame makes posible.

I was worried at the beginning of last year, but the progress he made was huge. I think he got 100% better from the start to the end of the season. That really gives me hope.

Hopefully the Suns see Maluach make progress this season. If not, there will be doubts about the #10 pick.

Define progress?

It's easy to speak in meaningless platitudes

We also went through the whole "lottery pick" thing - this is the NBA draft - the Suns were lucky a prospect with something unique was available for them and you can't put on a player the organizational incompetence of testing away all their other lotto tickets

Suns have always been cursed with Centers. No, Amar'e wasn't a center. Amar'e was really our PF the Suns played at Center. True Center talent has always alluded the Suns ever since we lost that coin flip for Kareem. As much as we hated Ayton, he was the best center the Suns had. That tells you how cursed we are at Center. Guys like Alvin Adams and Mark West are lauded in our history. Nice guys, but not the greatest centers. Adams eventually wore down. West could rebound and defend. I have had my whole life waiting for a great Suns center. Patience is a bastard!
