Sounds like 1, they don't have the money to buy them out at whatever inflated amount the two entities are asking for. 2, also the wording almost basically says they won't be bullied. There's some ego involved in this, it sounds like. Ishbia won't be pushed around.

If possible I'd sell half for 425M, then keep my other 400M with the team and hope it gains more value. Thats me dreaming. I can't even afford a game lol

Mat Ishbia may well have the money to buy them out, but why should he pay them top dollar based on the increased value of the team? Sounds like if they want top dollar, they will have to shop for it.

Yeah. Like when teams tell their restricted free agents, take your time and shop your services around. They know the value of the player. If some idiot wants to back up the Brinks truck, they just let them go.

- ESPN will have one Suns game this season
- NBC/Peacock will have eight games

Do you guys realize that media day is only a couple weeks away? I believe it starts on September 23rd. We start a week earlier than many teams due to our travel and play in China for a couple preseason games. Ironically, this was most likely scheduled because of KD.

I'm not sure how KD factors in. The Rockets are China's most popular team and we just acquired Jalen Green from them. I haven't looked into what sort of following he has there but he's definitely on their radar. Not that Jalen alone is enough to get us a game, I could see him being a tipping point in our favor if the choice was Suns or Jazz or something. I mention the Jazz because they got a new owner right before we did but they haven't spent like Ishbia. The league finds ways like this to roll out the red carpet to new owners who spend big and Ishbia has spent big so far.

I'm not doubting hes popular there but articles from 2013-16 don't make a strong case for a game in 2025. Devin Booker wasn't even drafted yet for one of those and is now the all time leading scorer for the Suns. Jalen Green wasn't even in high school when those were written.
