Jordan Ott on what he’s looking for out his group before the All-Star break arrives:“Just stack possessions. Win the possessions. Don’t let any of these opportunities go to waste. We have three left and have three good teams coming here, thankfully we’re at home. We got to play the right way and keep getting better with 30 games left. But really, we just can’t waste any possessions and can’t let any of them go.”

possession is 9/10 of the law for jordan ott

And I love it. The best coaches all seem to stress the importance of EACH possession. It seems like our guys historically have always followed the Eddie Johnson method; if you make two shots in a row you might be hot so test it by forcing a shot up no matter where you are, no matter who is guarding you and without concern for time or score.

Although Eddie was a streak shooter and knew when to turn it on and off.

Not really, I always thought that's why he kept ending up in the Coaches doghouse. And he wasn't alone, a lot of volume shooters used to approach it the same way. The League's understanding of good shot versus bad shot has changed considerably but in the largest sense, a good shot, then and still, is when your teammates are expecting you to shoot.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying a "hot shooter" shouldn't be putting up a bunch of shots. It's just that they still need to occur within the flow of the offense.

As I recall, Cotton Fitzsimmons had a pretty good handle on Eddie. When he was hot, he couldn't miss. Then, when he went cold, Cotton would substitute for him. Eddie was either on or off. Not much in-between.

I had wished for better news. Hope the Suns are being cautious.

Tomorrow comes every day, it just changes its name.

Of course, I'm talking about procrastination. Planning for tomorrow so one doesn't have to work today, seldom works out if done repeatedly.

I'm not sure where we're going with this but I see no procrastination. Building anything is a process. From where we started, I'm astounded that we have almost a complete team despite having so few assets to work with.

I'm simply expressing my no excuse philosophy. Next man up... the Suns shouldn't be waiting until after the All-Star break to start winning.

Book in the 3pt contest. League wants star power.

More like people who aren’t already at all star weekend don’t want to go just to do an all star Saturday event.

In no way should Devin even qualify, he is actually one of the worst 3 point shooters who shoot any kind of volume this season.

Damian Lillard is taking part also. They're desperate for star power.

In addition to Book and Dame, Knueppl, Maxey, Donovan Mitchell, Norman Powell, Bobby Portis, and Jamal Murray are all taking part. Very weird group.

These gimmicky ASG side exhibitions have probably run out of gas. After the first few guys who were barely even playing in the league started winning the dunk contest, that should have been the tipoff the novelty had worn out.

Who said they should? I said I hope they're fully healthy after the all-star break. That is all.
