Not really, I always thought that's why he kept ending up in the Coaches doghouse. And he wasn't alone, a lot of volume shooters used to approach it the same way. The League's understanding of good shot versus bad shot has changed considerably but in the largest sense, a good shot, then and still, is when your teammates are expecting you to shoot.Although Eddie was a streak shooter and knew when to turn it on and off.
Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying a "hot shooter" shouldn't be putting up a bunch of shots. It's just that they still need to occur within the flow of the offense.
