wait HE apologized to Emari?

What color is the sky in your world where you apologize to the guy who hotdogs and costs you a TD that wound up costing you the game?
I would feel much better if Emari apologized to the team. I do like that he was honoring JC with his gesture in the end zone.

This is exactly how NOT to hold a guy accountable. He needs leaders to get knee deep on him.

There are different ways to reach people. If a person already knows they made a bad play and feels dejected for it (as seen in the video), scolding him further is not going to help. Maybe he wins a game for them down the road. Now, if he displayed a poor attitude after the play, that might be a different matter.

IMO he displayed a poor attitude after the game. Completely brushed it off like no big deal and said the team at large made mistakes.

That had to be tough doing a 2:45 minute interview with the media after the game. It took a lot of composure. I didn't see a poor attitude.

I attached the video.

He's had several long runs in his career but the guy with long runs in the preseason was Bam Knight. Amari had an 18 yard run, next longest was 8.

The one last night again that was a MASSIVE hole, I think any back on our roster could have gotten 50 plus on that one, it was a great run but he screwed the pooch at the end.

Literally can't believe they put him back in the game after that. Guy makes a drop yeah you go back to him build his confidence. guy hot dogs on a long run loses the ball for a touchback, you don't put him back in the game
Come on...we have seen JC with that hole many times.
He gets 8

That's why I said that we have now he's probably the one guy who won't get 50 yards at least on that. It was a gaping hole that's part of why it infuriates me so much he did that. It was a perfect playcall and perfectly blocked which has been so rare this year for us

Yeah...
But even last season Demercado was our most dangerous big play guy...with the offense we run you count on guys like Emari, Bam, And Benson to provide the explosive plays you ain't getting in the passing game...
Our line does block some really nice running lanes at times...a couple per game...it's sweet to see the back get to them.

Demercado saying it happens to the best of us. Right?……Tells me he didn’t realize how bad this was. Probably gets it now though after hearing about it all day.

If you cut him, we should fire Petzing for calling 3 running plays when a first down wins the game.
We should fire Rallis for rushing just 4 guys against a rookie qb.
And we should fire Gannon for sitting back and watching his coordinators do what the did.
How many players in that locker room do you think want Demercado cut.
My guess…ZERO.

Here's how a HOF coach handles things

I agree with Jimmy.

But it's a different situation. His guy fumbled the ball ...twice...on back to back carries if I recall...

Demarcado tried to look cool by being nonchalant about scoring a TD..

Both are huge mistakes...but Demercados stupidity is easier to fix....
I mean honestly, it ain't like dude has scored so many TD's he should be just so Blaise about it...at his stage you would think a guy might still be saving the balls.

Demercado's stupidity was on purpose--the guy fumbling the ball didn't purposefully fumble the ball. Demercado was way worse.

Perspective of course.

One guy made a choice.

One guy is just incapable of doing it right.

The first guy is obviously the bigger cornholio...but he can be fixed.

If a guy just suxx then he just suxx...that cannot be remedied

Would be nice if nfl coaches had some avenue other than benching or cutting to impose negative reinforcement on these guys....

Three days in the stocks at the 50 yard line..... 48 continuous hours grinding wheat at a stone mill....24 hours enduring Chinese water torture at 190 degrees....
Something, geez!!
Any method they have hurts the team as bad or worse than the player if you need him to play

Exactly. Jimmy wouldn’t have apologized publicly to the RB for getting upset with him. Jimmy also wouldn’t apologize for bad play calling and would have fired Petzing by now.

He apologized for giving him a shove, not for being upset.
