The only way I like this is if we take some of newly freed up picks and Jalen to trade for Jaylen Brown. That's not likely happening but I think it would make us a dark horse in the West.

Book, Brown, Brooks, Bridges, Williams is an intriguing lineup.

Jason Kidd was traded by the Suns after a domestic violence arrest and went on to lead the Nets to two Finals. He earned his second chance and succeeded.

Miles Bridges has served his suspension and completed his counseling. Doesn’t he deserves the same opportunity to show he’s changed, rather than being permanently exiled from the sport?

Maybe he's earned the second chance to be a free man but I choose not to root for men who need to ask for that form of forgiveness. Everyone else has the right to forgive him or not, I won't hold it against them, I am incapable of squaring his crimes and looking past them.

I wouldn't mind if he blew out his knee in game 1 so I didn't have to see him this year, honestly. I'm not wishing that on him but I won't shed a tear for him or this organization. I'm a bit dismayed because last years team was one of the most likeable teams in decades and now they are one of the least likeable all because he was Spartan,

We all choose who we cheer for. I'm kind of neutral on the trade, neither pro nor against. IMO, the contract situation was a huge factor in the trade.

Generally to get probation, there are extenuating circumstances. However, I do not know all the details in this case. I realize people can change or not.

Nevertheless, most assuredly there are worse people walking the street. And probably some people we know and like who have paid their price to society without us even knowing.

But that’s kind of the thing, you don’t know. If you knew this guy did this would you let him date your daughter? No? Even if he paid his legal penance? But you’ll root for him on a basketball court. I hate he’s on the team. I’ll still root for the suns. I know myself well enough. But I won’t shy away from the fact I hate that any of my money and energy helps him live the life of a mega millionaire.

He sure did… and you know, there was not ONE MINUTE during his great run and the Suns down run during those years that followed that I wanted him back.

Many Suns fans wanted the team to do something bold. This trade for Miles Bridges was bold. Now I am not the moral police but for me personally I detest what Bridges did to the woman of his children. As everyone should. With that being said I spoke with a former coach of his and this is what he told me about him as a PLAYER. "One of my favorite players. Loves to play, works hard, epitome of a Four. Can throw a lob to him. He can hit a three, can guard. Plays bigger than he is. Has a love for the game that not all have - if the season was ever cancelled he would be the first one at the Y looking for a pickup game. He was a great teammate and was very coachable. He needed to get out of Charlotte so Phoenix will be great for him. He may explode in Phoenix so don't be surprised to see the best version of him"

That’s all great for the court. I’d love to read someone raving about him off the court. Remorseful. Doing good things.

People hated the Brooks trade and the person as well. Should be interesting to see peoples opinions if this works out and the guy comes in and produces at a position we’ve needed to be better at for years. I don’t much care about the off court issues as I feel a ton of these athletes are not so called good people off the court. People are people crap happens they pay the price and move on, we likely don’t know full stories anyway. I’ll wait and see what team they actually assemble before the season starts to judge. It’s professional sports I’m sure they have a plan seriously doubt they made this trade just to free up a little cash. I don’t think anyone just wanted to run it back after getting swept and underperforming in the playoffs. Royce and Allen had their moments but they were hardly consistently good or even available. Seems like Allen missed half the freaking season and RR was so hot and cold. Goody, Colin, Green, Brooks, Book, Flemming can all still hit 3s we don’t need to be chucking 50 a game if we have some guys that can take it to the hole or get some damn rebounds so we aren’t one and done every time down the floor. I don’t know just rambling but so many games were so frustrating when we weren’t hitting threes and seemed liked no one could create or drive besides Book or Green and if they were having a bad night it was pretty much over. Excited to see some changes and some of the development of the young guys. The west is brutal so couldn’t very well stand pat.

We all hated ainge before we got him. Hated elie before we got him. Disliked Grayson before we got him. Disliked brooks before we got him. But to my knowledge none of it was because they beat up a woman in front of their kids. This one feels different.

I can live with the backlash if the Suns acquire Miles Bridges more than seeing another team acquire him and the Suns come up short in the playoffs.

This is relying on the Suns having done their research.

However, Bridges has a court date after the trade deadline, so the Suns should EXPLORE every option. I hope the Suns don't put all their eggs in one basket.

It’s a valid question. But this isn’t about “giving a guy a second chance.” This is about rewarding a guy with millions of dollars and adulation to bounce a basketball. He got his second chance when he didn’t go to jail because he met his probationary requirements.

I've been fairly neutral on Miles Bridges being traded to the Suns yesterday. Personally I would have preferred a 4/5.

However, within reason, I'm for giving a person a second chance.
