What is the impact of getting a '29 pick back? Did they have control of our '29 pick or is it purely a Hornets controlled pick?

We gain a lot of athleticism with this though and lose a lot of shooting.

Least some good news for today.

Allen and Oneale must have been shopped for a while now and no takers.

Their contracts made them virtually untradable without sweeteners thanks to the CBA tax aprons hitting hard.

Whatever anyone does think of Bridges personally, it does give the Suns at least some potential for being decent on the court next year... depending on how it impacts team chemistry, which is a BIG question mark. It's going to be hard to say for certain until other shoes potentially drop.

I think the roster as it was before the trade was dead in the water. There was no way that team wasn't backsliding in a big way due to terrible construction and injury risk. They now have what is somewhat closer to an actual starting lineup.

On the other hand, their front office (apparently driven by ownership) still seems utterly clueless about building on foundational talent and valuing the draft. It seems like they are inclined to doubling down on trying to take shortcuts with risky short term fixes and shots in the dark.

Yeah, this roster construction, as of right now, looks like something the Bulls, Kings or… the post Amare Suns put together.

Suns loading up on larger forwards is not a bad thing, although my taste is slightly different.

Fleming, Peat and Bridges are 4’s. This deal is even worse if they intend to re-sign him.
I think they see Fleming and peat as swing forwards. Realistically all three of them can likely evolve into interchangeable combo forwards. Mind you, I said “can” not “will.”

And yeah, I hate having this guy on the team . . . for now. All I know about him is the bad he’s done. Reform is a real thing. If he’s reformed himself - legitimately (and there’s no way we’ll ever know that) - I hope he can lead a nice life again. The life of a multimillionaire athlete just because he’s he’s big and athletic? Eh, we reward the wrong things in this country.
