The Carolina Panthers may be locking in a budding piece of their offense.

According to NFL Network insider Ian Rapoport, the team has agreed upon a contract extension with wide receiver Jalen Coker. The agreement, per Mike Kaye of The Charlotte Observer, is a three-year, $35 million pact with a maximum value of $41 million.

Coker, a standout from the College of Holy Cross, cracked into the NFL as an undrafted free agent with Carolina in 2024. He instantly became a fan favorite that offseason, and later posted 32 receptions for 478 yards and two touchdowns as a rookie.

Although his numbers didn't improve by much (33 catches, 394 yards, three touchdowns), Coker's role would expand in 2025. He solidified himself as the No. 2 option—behind 2025 AP Offensive Rookie of the Year Tetairoa McMillan—after recording nine grabs for 134 yards and a score in the team's near-upset of the Los Angeles Rams in their wild-card round appearance.

The 24-year-old Coker will be entering his third pro campaign in 2026.
