Sorry for spamming the posts, but kind of fascinating to see how ChatGPT thinks through it.

It is working with old data and seems to be a year behind. It was talking about how Patriots and Giants need a QB...

Lets see if ChatGPT knows ball.

Don’t forget EGO. If we are “ forced” to keep Kyler would he really stay here as a backup?
I highly doubt it. He is going to want out as bad as most of us want him gone. Here’s hoping more than 1 team comes sniffing around.
The ball would then be in our court. Then Kyler and the Cardinals could work things out to get him to the desired destination.
I’m guessing Kyler’s agent already has been on the phones.

It's all about the money for Pro ball players

The team sets up the trade and then they get to talk to KM

He would be really selfish to not recognize a team that wants to help him further his career
There's no talking. We set up the trade and execute it. He doesn't get a say. Unless you mean the other team gets to talk to him?

Thank you for showing your argument is meritless. ChatGPT is as unreliable a source as there is. It once returned "Julius Caesar" as the most famous Roman suicide of all time.

I truly hate the trend of people mindlessly screenshotting AI responses and saying “so there.” Bro your plagiarism machine doesn’t know anything. It probably trained on this board.

IMO, let’s look a Murray money if traded. The salary (22.8 mil) goes with Murray. The Prorated & Option bonuses (18 mil) are paid by the Cards and immediately all, including those in future years, immediately apply to the cap either before or after June 1. The roster bonus (17 mil) is in play. It’s due in March. If he’s not traded until after March, the Cards pay it. If he’s traded before March it’s negotiable which team pays all or part. The 2027 & 2028 salaries go with Murray. Roster bonuses for those years likely go but could be negotiated. The (34 mil) salary for 2028 is possibly a problem. With salaries rising it may be normal, but money can always be included by the Cards to pay down the whole deal. A team can always give money to make a deal happen.
Apparently I confused some with this post. The Prorated & Option Bonuses are not cash layouts. They were already paid. They just count against the cap.

The most we’re gonna get for Kyler is a third and maybe a day 3 pick. That contract and his health are going to be significant demerits
I think people are overblowing contract.. I think he only garners a 3rd because of what he’s shown production wise and you have to have a team that constructs an offense that is not focused on him being a pocket passer. Thus your pool of teams is relatively limited 2-4 teams will be interested imo.

6th would be embarrassing. Personally I think his health is just fine and this IR stuff is to save face. There is always a sucker team that thinks they can do better with a player. The should be able to do better IMO.

You’re snorting no-doz if you think he gets us a 1st, especially with that contract.
The Cards could pay down the contract, future roster bonuses, to get a better pick. You can always send money, though Bidwill is cheap

I am trying to handicap the teams that would be interested in Kyler as a starter

Jets? maybe, but they have the ammo to move up if they need to
Miami? I would think they will have soured on gun shy QBs who tend to check down. Cap wise i dont think they could trade for Murray.
New Orleans? maybe the best bet if they finish outside the top QB zone in the draft. Cap issues there too, but somehow they always make it work.
Vegas? I didnt realize Geno has been so terrible this year. Pete C has Russ experience, so maybe
Cleveland? no idea what they are up to there

I disagree... If Kyler never plays another snap this year he still garners a 1st.

At the trade deadline? no way.
Offseason and people can move cap around and plan? Absolutely.
No chance because the book is out on him. He’s not a grinder and doesn’t love the game. Doesn’t mean he’s not committed in the weight room.

1) as noted, Bidwill is cheap. 2) all the money in the world isn't going to raise Kyler's value to a #1 pick.

And this front office group has already shown they ain't exact;y mensa candidates on the trade market for disgruntled past-their-prime talent... or do some of you have collective amnesia over the DeAndre Hopkins situation where most of the board was sure we'd get a 2nd or at least a 3rd or 4th and ended up getting... nothing.

as noted, Bidwill is cheap.

Hops contract was an issue to the acquiring team. But Hops money wasnt guaranteed. By cutting Hop, the Cards didnt have to pay anything.

Kyler has $36mm of guaranteed money for 2026. Cutting him doesnt make that payment go away.

So for Mike -- taking on even $35mm of the guaranteed $36mm to facilitate a trade will save him $.

In that scenario -- a team could trade for a QB that will cost them $1mm in 2026 with a team option for $19mm salary in 2027 (that they get to decide on after the 2026 season) for a QB with lots of starts.

I am not saying 1st rounder, but I think that would be attractive to somebody.

The 2027 salary guarantees March 22.
