Aaron Rodgers has said this will be his last season in the NFL.

At this point, it's believe it when you see it territory with the Pittsburgh Steelers' quarterback.

Sports Illustrated national NFL writer Conor Orr, for one, doesn't believe it.

He predicted in a new article on Tuesday that Rodgers won't retire after the 2026 season, and that there'll be as many as five teams in on him for the 2027 season.

Those five teams listed by Orr:

• Green Bay Packers
• Minnesota Vikings
• San Francisco 49ers
• Los Angeles Rams
• Arizona Cardinals

"With gap-year needs potentially developing for the Rams and Vikings, among other teams with head coaches Rodgers admires and would like to work with, the quarterback will walk away from Pittsburgh after a nine-win, nonplayoff campaign and into a summer of exploring other interests before eventually landing in training camp with either the Packers, Rams, Vikings, 49ers or Cardinals," Orr wrote.

Those would be different kinds of situations. The Packers and 49ers would likely still have their current starters (Jordan Love, Brock Purdy). The other three teams could all be in periods of QB transition that give Rodgers a chance to be QB1.

Will he still be capable of such a role another year from now? That's hard to say, but Orr apparently thinks there would be real interest if Rodgers became available next offseason.

There's a lot of time for Rodgers to decide on his final thinking, but it'd certainly make for compelling free agency if Rodgers really did have multiple of those teams going after him in a year's time.
