There's been quite a few hot takes on Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, but maybe none as fiery as one from a former NFL general manager.
According to Mike Tannenbaum, who served as the New York Jets general manager from 2006 to 2012, there's almost zero chance of Rodgers leading the Steelers to Super Bowl LXI.
"The only way he's going to LA is if he flies there," Tannenbaum said about Rodgers via ESPN's SportsCenter on Friday. "[The Steelers] are the third-best team in the division. I think Cincinnati is greatly improved. You have the Baltimore Ravens."
While it's understandable why one wouldn't be completely sold on the Steelers making a Super Bowl appearance during the 2026 season, what Tannenbaum failed to acknowledge is that Pittsburgh also greatly improved this offseason, picking up key free agents like Jamel Dean, Jaquan Brisker, Rico Dowdle, and Sebastian Joseph-Day.
Rodgers is one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time and should have at least enough fuel in the gas tank to lead this loaded Steelers roster to a deep playoff run. Hopefully, this will only serve to light a fire under the soon-to-be 22-year veteran.
