Monti Ossenfort was non-committal on most potential contract extensions, but did say this about Michael Wilson, who is up for a new deal:

“Michael’s about everything we want our program to be about and hopefully he’s here for a long time.”

Cardinals GM Monti Ossenfort stuck to his talking points on QB Kyler Murray during his press conference Tuesday at the NFL combine: "I'd say all options are on the table for us."

It's the same comment he gave during the postseason press conference after Arizona fired Jonathan Gannon.

Ossenfort opened his presser addressing the Murray situation and, like he did in January, pointed out that Murray, Jacoby Brissett and Kedon Slovis, are all under contract for 2026.

More on Ossenfort on Kyler:

- With 20 days left until the Cardinals need to decide whether to keep Murray on the roster and give him a guaranteed $17 million roster bonus for 2027, Ossenfort said "those conversations happen daily," about the QB.

- Ossenfort said he's talked with Murray since the season ended about how 2025 went and what Murray wants coming up.

"I've always had a good dialogue with Kyler and I'd say [last season] wasn't up to what Kyler wanted, it wasn't up to what any of us wanted as a season as a whole. And so when you have the kind of year that we had, there's a lot of room for improvement, and so we got to find a way to do that, not only at that position, in all positions, but that's what we're all focused on is getting better and moving forward," Ossenfort said.

Cardinals GM Monti Ossenfort was asked about giving WR Michael Wilson a long-term extension this offseason.

His response: "I mean, listen, everybody's in different situations. Here's what I'd say about Michael: Michael had an outstanding year for us. He's a great person. He works, he leads and he produced on the field, so Michael's about everything we want our program to be about and hopefully he's here for a long time."

Monti Ossenfort said his record as GM doesn’t impact the Cardinals’ urgency in building a win-now roster for 2026:

“We’re 0-0 right now.”

Ossenfort is 15-36 as GM and has not yet produced a playoff appearance.
Guys you can’t count his first season because he wasn’t prioritizing winning and he didn’t have Kyler Murray for the majority of the season.

You also can’t count last season because of injuries and also he was saddled with having to play Kyler Murray for much of the season.

Monti Ossenfort is 8-9 as a General Manager. Prove me wrong.

#AZCardinals GM Monti Ossenfort on DL Walter Nolen:

“He has been in the facility every day since the season ended. He's going to have himself in a great position to help us out.”

Winds are definitely blowing in an "out of town" direction for kyler based on the soundbites.

The last few years it's been, "Kyler Murray IS our Quarterback "

Now, suddenly...
"All options are open"

I'm thinking the only way kyler is still on the roster 20 days from now is by taking a paycut.... which only happens about twice a decade....with older players, and for other teams.

would it kill this organization to say what his injury was?

When asked about Marvin Harrison Jr., new Cardinals coach Mike LaFleur described him as "a stud of a human, first and foremost."

LaFleur said he never got to meet Harrison when he came out because the Rams didn't have a high pick and didn't need to meet with MHJ. But he saw what everyone else saw on tape.

I asked LaFleur what went into deciding whether to use MHJ in the slot or as the X.

LaFleur's answer: "We're going to put him in the position to most be successful. And so I think that's, foundationally, what has been really neat about the systems that I've been in. The system that [we] will run is who is the slot, who is the X receiver, they're all interchangeable and you try to maximize however many plays -- let's call it 65 to 70 plays a game -- you try to make sure all 65 to 70 matter and those guys are in the right positions at the right time, so we'll move them around, just like we do all those guy, and again, have a better idea of that once we kind of get going into May. And then obviously through training camp to see where it's all going to fit."

He’s got to be on a really short leash.

If we struggle to a 1-9 or 2-10 start, he’ll get canned mid season.

He inspires zero confidence at this point.
Yea good.

I don’t think he’ll get canned mid-season though. It doesn’t make any difference to fire the GM; he probably only has another year or two left on his contract.

Maybe David Sears is angling for the head job.

We have heard plenty of this nonsense on the board posted without tongue in cheek. Or fingers in keyboard?

Former Penn St. QB Drew Allar, who has recovered from season-ending ankle surgery, will throw this week at the scouting combine in Indianapolis.
Watched some videos
At now he looks like a less polished version of Jacoby Brisset
But in this poor qb class he is the only qb i can like outside of Mendoza
