Reminder for those on the board. This is new information for #DraftTwitter and non-professional scouts but confirming information for professional scouts and teams.

Guys rise and fall at the combine for non-team draft analysts. This is because they have less access and information than professional scouts. Basically, combine workouts help close some of the gaps between non-professionals and professionals. Teams will adjust their boards based on medical information, interviews, psych profiles, and then if there is a discrepancy between their prior measurables and the testing.

So. regarding guys like Bain and Bailey.

If Bain's arm length is a negative outlier, non-professionals may adjust their boards/rankings but teams likely won't unless they didn't have it,

If Bailey weighs in at 240lbs, non-professionals may adjust their boards/rankings but teams probably won't.

If Mauigoa is smooth moving around in drills (if he even does them), it may lead to people leaning away from the "projects as a OG" label.

With Caleb Downs, you would like to see some special athletic traits if you are considering drafting him in the top 10.

With Love, you want to see big, fast, quick, and good hands if you want him in the top 10. Jeanty was short and it didn't really impact his draft stock but probably should have been considered more.

Semi-notable ahead of the combine: Of Sean McVay and his five former assistants who are now HCs, only Mike LaFleur and Zac Taylor will be in Indianapolis this week.McVay believes this time is better spent elsewhere (for HCs) but the Cardinals are bucking the trend.

Free-agent QB Taylor Elgersma, who spent training camp last year with the Packers, was invited to throw to other position groups at this week’s NFL combine. A chance for the former Canadian college star to perform in front of all 32 teams.

With the combine this week, here is a little stat for EDGE rushers...

From 2010-2024, 60 players had 20+ sacks in their first 4 seasons in the NFL, and 55 received a 2nd contract (4 TBD).

The average 3-cone is 7.11.

For sub 260 pounders, 7.20 is the floor (1/2)

As a first year coach it makes sense for MLF to attend with Monti THIS year. Those other coaches have been in place for several years and their GMs know them and their preferences.

Raiders GM John Spytek said at the NFL scouting combine that he expects Maxx Crosby to return to the team next season Crosby has reportedly had a contentious relationship with the Raiders since he disputed the team's decision to place him on IR at the end of last season.

Monti Ossenfort said the Cardinals are “working through” changes to their training staff.

“We’ll have clarity on that soon.”

Sounds like the Cardinals are evaluating both their staff and their process on injuries.

Monti Ossenfort: “There are two things that suck about life in the NFL and that’s injuries and losing. Unfortunately we suffered a lot of both last year.”

Monti Ossenfort was asks about potential contract extensions for WR Michael Wilson and Paris Johnson Jr., who are both eligible. Didn’t say they would happen for sure, but definitely on the mind.

Monti Ossenfort said his record as GM doesn’t impact the Cardinals’ urgency in building a win-now roster for 2026:

“We’re 0-0 right now.”

Ossenfort is 15-36 as GM and has not yet produced a playoff appearance.
