My starter of course is Matt Leinart. I think he is ready and will do well.
My choice for an experienced backup is Chad Pennington. However, he must pass a physical and really be healthy. I chose him over Chris Redman (my second choice) because of all the experience he has as a starter. He also has playoff experience with both the Jets and Dolphins. If Leinart goes down or is horrible it would be good to have an experienced starter step in. He is not a sexy choice but is solid and can lead a team.
My draft pick would be Dan LeFevour. I think we could get him in the 3rd round. I thought he was the best qb in the recent Senior Bowl. He has a nice touch, good at scrambling and shows good leadership of the offense. Mel Kiper says that he really studies the game. He will be an excellent development project.
These are my 3 choices for our 2010 Cardinal QB corp. Who are yours???
