COCHRANTON — Cochranton's girls basketball team beat Reynolds 38-35 in a non-region contest at The Bird Cage on Wednesday.

Senior Lexi Irwin paced the Cardinals with 13 points. Alaina Shorts added 12 and Claire McCartney scored five.

Cochranton moved to 11-9 overall. The Cards will host North Clarion County on Friday to conclude their regular season campaign.

Titusville ekes out a win

GIRARD — The Titusville girls basketball team eked out a non-region win on Wednesday. The Rockets out paced Girard 38-34 in their final non-region game.

Molly Covell led the Titusville offense with eight points. Addison Burleigh, Kasey Krepps and Norah Blakeslee all tied for second on the Rockets with three field goals and one free throw made for seven points.

The Rockets finish their non-region schedule 10-11. Titusville plays again tonight at 7 p.m., against Region 5 rival Conneaut. With a win, the Rockets would grab a share of the Region 5 crown.

Chargers take down Muskies

JAMESTOWN — The Crawford Christian Academy boys basketball team took down Jamestown on Wednesday night. The Chargers picked up the win 67-45.

Silas Raber recorded seven 3-pointers and added five field goals to lead all scorers with 31 points. Nate Bethune shot down six from inside the arc and went a perfect 3-3 from the line to add 15. Jacob Louer rounded out the Chargers' double digit scorers with 13.
