GREENVILLE — Walker Carroll put down eight field goals in Cochranton's non-region boys basketball game on Wednesday. The Cardinals dominated Region 1 Reynolds for a 67-34 win.
The Cardinals and Raiders were tied at seven after the first, but Cochranton put up 27 points in the second and 24 in the third, to bring the game out of reach.
Carroll's eight buckets led the team and gave him 16 points in the win. Brady Rynd was second in Cardinal scoring with six field goals for 12 points. C.J Shorts scored eight and Noah Carroll led Cochranton with two 3-pointers.
With the win, the Cardinals moved to 7-4 in Region 2 and 11-7 overall. Cochranton continues their non-region slate with a game on Friday. The Cardinals travel at 7 p.m. to face Cranberry.

Crawford Christian falls to Grove City Christian
GROVE CITY — The Crawford Christian boys basketball team fell on Wednesday to Grove City Christian 54-46.
Silas Raber led the Chargers with 12 points. Kyle Steiger scored five foul shots on his way to 10 points. Nate Bethune added nine in the loss.

Saegertown beats Seneca Valley
SAEGERTOWN — The Saegertown girls wrestling team defended its home gym on Tuesday. The Panthers took down Seneca Valley 42-30.
Saegertown had three straight pins to take a 24-12 lead. Edinboro commits Emma Spencer (118) and Leah Sample (124) got the first of the three pins and Hannah Beck (130) secured the third. Kaylee Stampin-Williams (235) picked up Saegertown's fourth victory on the night.
Makenzee Williams (100), Royale Reno-Gaus (136) and Addison Plummer (142) picked up wins via forfeits.
Saegertown moved 3-3 on the season with the win.
