Remember, numbers in themselves are irrelevant. The Kyler stans remind the board all the time when Jacoby has good numbers.
I agree that wins are the bottom line. It's all that matters in the long run. The most disappointing part of Kyler's run here was the lack of playoff games.

And as disappointing as all of that was, he is up there with Lomax and Hart. Sad.

And this offense was NOT designed for Kyler… it was what Kliffy brought from the TT. Literally was the same offense. I think Shane is getting confused of tailor made to Kliff touting it as a tailored fit for Kyler. Big difference, the first would mean it was an offense custom designed for Kyler.. of which it wasn’t and proved to ultimately to be a bad fit.
Wasn’t Kliff THE main reason Kyler was drafted #1 by the Cards? Weren’t Kyler and Kliff both re-signed at the same time?
Exactly what was it about Kliff’s offense that was so harmful to Kyler?

I'll believe he's gone when he is in another team's jersey. Who knows what this clown show of a franchise will do?

I don't really care if he goes somewhere else and balls out (which I highly doubt), he was NEVER going to do that here. It is best for both parties to go their separate ways IMO.

That is completely made up. At Texas Tech Kliff ran 00 or 10 personnel more than anything, 4 or 5 WRs at all times. His last two year at Tech the TEs had 3 total receptions. At Tech he didnt use the RPOs nearly as much, rollouts, shifts, basically everything involving a TE, or most of the outside zone run game concepts. OL blocking scheme was different. A ton was changed.

Sure the core of the passing game at both stops was the air raid, and frankly that what suits Kyler's skills best. Its mostly screens, deep shots and outs to the sideline.

If you design a passing game around Kyler its going to look like an air raid offense offense. Theres not a lot of diverse stuff you can do with his limited skillset. He's bad at under center stuff, hates having his receivers go into motion, and cant reliably throw over the middle 2/3s of the field unless its super deep. Thats taking a massive chunk of play design options away from any potential OC.

What do you think happens when an offense is "custom designed for Kyler"? All of Kylers strengths as a passer are possessed by the other top NFL starters, those other top QBs dont have Kyler's limitations as passer. The question for OCs is whether Kyler's legs are worth gimping their passing attack.

There is no unique undiscovered offense that Andy Reid or Shanahan could design that would turn him into an effective passer against a modern defense. Kyler wouldnt be able to run either of their systems. I'm not gonna repeat my diatribe about how defenses have changed since 2022....

I'm also curious about the back story.

Wasn't the first hint when Murray was asked about the new training facility and he answered "If I am here to see it" in 2027. I thought it was an odd statement at the time and I reckon there was already stuff going on behind the scenes then. Was he still the QB at that time?

I wouldn't be surprised if his agent had put out feelers towards an extension and there was no interest in a conversation.

Murray will be another in the long list of cardinals players who goes to another team and has a bit more success and leaves all of us Arizona fans to wonder what might have been.

The A's are terribly ran, I don't think getting Kyler and going to Vegas will help them.

...

In all seriousness though, I'm not worried. He is a running quarterback who doesn't want to run, is terrified of getting hit and cannot function when dinged up.

It's been who he has been since the Green Bay game in '21.

He's gonna go compete with Anthony Richardson and Will Howard for the starting job in Pittsburgh.

Come on. Numbers ABSOLUTELY matter when comparing QBs to the organizations history. I know you are being a bit tongue in cheek here but eesh.

Kyler has never met a problem he couldn't run(transfer) from. Even if it was out of bounds, behind the line of scrimmage.

All of the pre-draft question marks have been proven correct.
Kyler also decided to draft garbage players and start of full rebuild just because. Got it.
