These Kyler threads
Here is the thing. Even looking back, Kyler was the right pick. You have to take risks trying to find a franchise QB. So even despite his question marks, you have to risk it. It didn't work out because his red flags mostly came true. Oh well. Gotta move on.
I did. Go Bears!

Seven years is a long time to stay with a qb and continue to hope that this will be the year. I'm not into the blame game. Got to just look ahead and not sure the direction the Cards will go on the GM, HC, OC & DC. We have many holes to fill and QB is the most critical. There will be a thousand threads on these issues on this site over the next three months until the official start of the new league season in March. Nothing really positive to say but do wish Murray the best. He is a good person.

Kyler also decided to draft garbage players and start of full rebuild just because. Got it.

Butt franchise
Is every QB going to be more successful with a better franchise? Sure. That said, Kyler has gotten in his own way as much as the Cardinals have gotten in his way.

He had the most awkward interview on the Dan Patrick show.

Dude is tiny and chose not to change his game. He is one of the few professional QBs who does not have a private QB coach that isn't his dad.

Dude compared himself to Bruce Lee and basically stated he was Neo on a football field.

He never took ownership of what happened on the field. "I just run the plays that are called."

The dysfunctional Cardinals franchise had no impact on Kyler doing any of those things.

Come on. Numbers ABSOLUTELY matter when comparing QBs to the organizations history. I know you are being a bit tongue in cheek here but eesh.
Just making fun of stans crying that numbers DO count when it's Kyler but then crying numbers DON'T count when it's Jacoby, and nuh uh, we never said numbers don't count for Kyler lol

Or just don’t make him a pocket QB.. mystery will always be for me if we would have designed an offense for him with a creative veteran OC.. not Kliffs air raid offense and not P Guy’s Cleveland Browns offense
I agree, but my point was more to how Michael Wilson is all of a sudden relevant. Sometimes you need your guy under center on a 3rd and short to either get off a quick slant or hand to ball off. Standing in the shot gun doesn't work here, even on a delayed hand off unless Conner is in prime condition. This is one of his short comings due to his height. With that being said, I will think he is a mid starter in this league and will show moments of greatness and moments of WTF.

100% Kyler will not come back to haunt the Cardinals besides the leadership. What offense does he fit to go off in. The Vikings never who knows if KOC even believes in kyler. Kyler can't run that offense like kirk throwing those middle of the field dig routes thats not him

Another thing people have to stop giving Kyler the excuse of its his size no it's his mentality and heart. Bryce doesn't have these issues we complained with years about with kyler. I've seen bryce at 180lb lower his shoulder to go pick a must have 1st down. Kyler would never its slide or go out bounds time. Kyler just doesn't have any dawg. Its not about doing a bunch of rah rah stuff Herberts not like that, but when he hurt his hand against the raiders he was back in there with a big oven mit on to make sure he was there for his team. Kyler would never

Heck Danny Dimes is playing with a fractured leg. Warner played with torn ligaments in his left elbow and had to wear a massive brace and hand off backwards. Ancient Aaron Rodgers went out and played this weekend with multiple broken bones in his wrist. Does anyone here really think Kyler would gut any of those injuries out?

Considering both Daniel Jones & Aaron Rodgers been pedestrian since those injuries were announced & their teams have came back down to earth because of it, don’t think them playing through those type of injuries are ringing endorsements.

I wish KM had been the QB savior for this franchise and led us to many playoffs and Super Bowls. But the bottom line is, he wasn't...and that has been abundantly clear for a few years now. I've been saying it for maybe 4 or 5 years now, he's simply too short to be a successful NFL QB...he just is.

I wish him luck wherever he ends up, but I will be glad when he's no longer the QB1 of the AZ Cardinals.

Yup, the mistake wasn't drafting him. They had to take the shot since it was clear that Rosen wasn't the guy. The big mistake was Keim giving him the big contract when he did. There was still too many question marks at the time.

My former stepson used to do incredibly stupid things. I would try to help him and he was just self destructive and refused to listen. I was talking to my mama about it and she said something that just cleared it all up. She said " Have you ever thought that the boy is just stupid ? " I reckon that there are some players on several teams that are athletically gifted but are just stupid and I'm sure that there are some of those on the Cardinals too. I'll leave it to others to figure out who they are.
