18 plays 99 yards. How embarrassing. Has to be the worst performance in history by a defense. How do you let that happen? Especially against a team with mediocre at best WRs and the weakest passing QB in the league!!!!! Love to see how Whiz addresses that fiasco.

Or the fact that it is getting to be a regular thing for his defense.

Stupid Cardinals.

Sorry had to vent or I wouldn't be able to sleep tonight.

I have already flushed this game. Didn't even stand over the bowl to admire it's grotesque beauty. Just flushed it, and am moving along.

I'm pretty much over it outside of when ESPN or NBC show us highlights of VY beating USC and then us. I guess you just get used to the heart break after a while and learn not to dwell on it. Can't get any worse than the SB choke. Like Donald said just flush it and move on with life.

One more Woodford and it'll be alright!

You'll be pissed in the morning but, it'll be a nice snooze.
Me - Russian Standard with a couple of olives....

One more?!?!?! 9 maybe. But I knew it was going to happen. Been watching Vince, and the Cards, play too long to think otherwise.

Yeah I was just thinking about that. Leinart is a jinx. He has been the QB in two of the most embarrassing losses in Arizona Cardinal history.

This one even surpasses the Cards blowing a 16 point 4th quarter lead against the worst team in the NFL.

18 plays and 99 yards. 99 yards at 5.5 yards per play in less than 3 minutes!!! In 50 years of watching football I've never seen anything like it. And of course it had to be the stupid Cardinals that allowed it.

Your forgot to mention converting on 4 4th down plays one of them being the game winner ;)

It hurts for a few hours, but at the end of the day it is a regular season game and we still have a two game lead against an average SF squad.

When we clinch a playoff spot, no one will care how we lost today. The only real drawback is that our bid to get one of the two top seeds in the NFC playoffs is likely over, but that was a longshot anyway.

Its amazing we're still alive.

Since 2004 the Cards have lost games by giving up two 2 point conversions in the 4th quarter.

By having a false start run off the remaining time keeping them from having one last shot at a Td.

Fumbling the ball inside the 10 trailing by 2 after the opponent had fumbled the ball to us with less than 3 minutes to play.

Blown a 20 point lead without giving up an offensive TD AND with a chance at redemption missing a 32 yard FG.

Getting beat on a fade route by the same guy not once but twice and the second time with 3 guys on him and not even getting both feet down.

And now today giving up a 99 yard 18 play drive with under 3 minutes to play.

Gotta love Cardinal football.

Last year, when we lost with the division basically wrapped up it was ugly, ugly, UGLY blowouts, with no heart.

This year, we lose on a last second throw with our backup QB at the helm.

People used our losses as an excuse last year to discount us in the playoffs. Will they this year?

That is nothing as I have been a fan since 1967. Rather be 7-4 and a 2 game lead in the division than what we are use to. This is not the same old Cardinals by any means. That said I am in a great deal of pain from that late meltdown. Living in Nashville now makes it even worse as I will be hearing about this all week.

By "no one" I meant we Cardinal fans. I'm sure the media jackasses like Deion Sanders will use this game to rip us in the future. Who cares?

@ New England in the snow, 2008.

The drive today was nothing, man. Nothing.

I'd rather get smashed than lose on the last play of the game in the regular season. Both end in a loss, I think it's easier to give up hope early then have it snatched away from me in one fell swoop at the last possible second.

As much as I'd like to second guess this game, we need to give kudos to Vince Young. He was lights out today. So many of his passes weren't defendable as he was so pinpoint with his throws. We got beat today by a guy having the best game of his life. It happens.

Which would I rather have the emotion of? A blowout, for sure. Losing at the end is hard to take.

But which one makes me feel like my team is still an actual NFL team? The close loss by far.

That NE game meant nothing to the Cards, it was essentially an exhibition game.

Losing the way we did today was 100 times worse. This is even worse than the Bears game because we are on top and have the 49ers on our tail. Losing 50-7 when you are 2-8 is nothing compared to blowing a game that could have salted away a division title by giving up an 18 play 99 yard drive.

Real NFL team's don't let their opponents drive 99 yards at 5.5 yards per play for a winning TD in less than 3 minutes.

In 6 plays with one long pass maybe and Peyton Manning at QB but my God not in EIGHTEEN PLAYS with Vince Young at QB!

Jake----I don't know you----by sight that is. I believe I have seen you at SDS however. I think you must be one of those guys that wore their Favre, or Emmit Smith, or Chris Carter, or Sweetness jersy to the game over their Cardinals gear so that you could cheer for your team, but IF for some reason the Cards won, you could pull off your Opponent jersey and celebrate with us 30 thousand Cardinals fans that showed up every game.
